Miami Masters: Quarter Finals

atp tour tips and preview

What looked like a promising week for the Aussies turned sour very quickly. Kokkinakis failed to back us his win over Federer while Kyrgios came up well short against Zverev. Del Potro extended his win streak to 14 matches and is looking very hard to beat!

The Wolf provided with two 5 chips winners in the 3rd round and is ready to back it up in the quarters.

Miami Masters Feature Previews

Hyeon Chung v John Isner
They have met three times and on each occasion there has been very little between them. Isner won their first two encounters with Chung bouncing back earlier this year in Auckland in a thriller. The South Korean is yet to drop this week but is yet to face any of the big servers. The serve has been a real weapon this week with the courts playing extremely fast. The Wolf has been getting behind the big servers all week long and this one will be no exception. Cilic was unable to generate a single break point opportunity in his match against Isner which is a clear gauge on just how well the big American is serving. We could see multiple breakers which make Isner with the start the play.
Best Bet: Isner +1.5 ($2.00) 💰

Juan Martin Del Potro v Milos Raonic
Del Potro is playing at the level which made him a Grand Slam champion! Back to back titles in Acapulco and Indian Wells and a 14 match win streak to boot. Even more impressive is the list of names he has put away… Federer, Nishikori, Zverev, Thiem and Anderson to go with none other than today’s opponent – Raonic. He beat the Canadian 6-2 6-3 last week and broke his serve an astonishing 4 times! He won 47% of points on the Raonic serve which is unheard of and is a sign of just how well he is playing at the moment. Del Potro straight up is a 5 chipper but the value lies in taking him in the handicap market.
Best Bet: Del Potro -2.5 ($1.91)

Pablo Carreno-Busta v Kevin Anderson
In case you missed the memo, the big servers are lighting it up in Miami this week and The Wolf has been all over them. Anderson fits right into that mould, and currently holds a dominant 4-0 record against Carreno-Busta. Anderson beat the Spaniard last week at Indian Wells in a tight 3 set contest, but The Wolf is predicting a more convincing win this time around. The surface is playing very fast this week and as we saw with Inser against Chung, it is providing the big sservers with unlimited free points. Get right around Anderson!
Best Bet: Anderson -2.5 ($1.73)

Alxander Zverev v Borna Coric
The Wolf was surprised by the performance of Zverev against Kyrgios, in particular the manner of the victory. It was the best serving performance we have ever seen from the German as he made an unbelievable 78% of 1st serves. That number is unheard of at any level of tennis, let alone in a match of such magnitude. Wolfy is adamant that he will not be able to replicate that effort, especially after having lost both of his previous matches against Coric. The Croat is flying at the moment and is fresh off a semi final run in Indian Wells. He has been breaking his opponents serve at will and will generate multiple breaks yet again. The Wolf will be taking him as the outsider in what will be a very long match!
Best Bet: Over 22.5 games ($1.80)
