Federer looked nervous overnight in his match against Kohlshcreiber. His bid to reclaim the number one ranking can be complete with a win over Haase tonight. Will he stumble at the final hurdle…
ATP Rotterdam Feature Previews
Andrey Rublev v Grigor Dimitrov
Rublev should not be this big an outsider against Dimitrov. He beat the Bulgarian at the US Open last year and took a set off him at the Australian Open last month. It was a match that Rublev effectively through away as he gifted Dimitrov a series of service breaks. He is one of the most devastating playing on return and could rise to the very top if he could get his own serve together. He has already generated 9 breaks of serve in his two matches here – both straight sets wins. Dimitrov has been slow out of the blocks and The Wolf is predicting the Russian to get the jump on him early on.
Best Bet: Rublev +2.5 ($2.00)
Roger Federer v Robin Haase
The nerves played their part in Federer’s win over Kohlschreiber and The Wolf says we will see much of the same as he takes on one of the locals in Robin Haase. The Dutchman has a big serve and a lethal forehand. He has able to keep things very close when the pair met last year in Montreal and was even able to break the Federer serve. He has nothing to lose and if Federer’s last match is anything to go by we are in for a much tighter affair than expected.
Best Bet: Over 20.5 games ($2.00)
