ATP Halle Feature Previews
Denis Kudla v Stefanos Tsitsipas
Kudla has done well to come through the qualifiers this week but he is about to be stopped dead in his tracks. Teenage sensation Stefanos Tsitsipas was spectacular against Pouille yesterday. He dropped just 11 points on serve and managed to win 43% of points in return games – on grass and against a top 20 player! Last week he went down to eventual s-Hertogenbosch champion Gasquet in two tiebreakers. This week, The Wolf has him meeting and beating Thiem in the quarters to set up a semi final clash with Federer.
Best Bet: Tsitaipas WIN ($1.67)
Dominic Thiem v Yuichi Sugita
Fast surfaces have not been kind the Thiem in the past but he is slowly learning how to adjust his game. His only shinning light on grass was in Stuttgart in 2016 but despite winning there he holds a mediocre 14-10 career record on grass. Sugita on the other hand is 8-4 over the last two years which includes a title winning run in Antalya. Even in his wins on grass, Thiem does not dominate and that makes the Overs a great bet.
Best Bet: Over 22.5 games ($1.85)

ATP London Tips
Stan Wawrinka v Sam Querrey
Has Wawrinka finally put his injury woes behind him… He looked comfortable in his opening round win but the fact remains that he has won back to back matches only once in 2018. furthermore, he has lost 9 of the 14 matches he has contested since losing to Nadal in the 2017 French Open final. He has traditionally struggled on grass with 6 first round losses at Wimbledon. In comparison, Querrey made the quarters at The Championships two year ago and backed it up with a run to the semi’s last year. His game is built for grass and he will role Wawrinka in straight sets.
Best Bet: Querrey WIN ($1.57)
Marin Cilic v Gilles Muller
Two grass court specialists meet early on and The Wolf says this one will go down to the wire. Cilic has won all three prior meetings, including both on grass, but there has been nothing between them. They met in the semi’s here a year ago with Cilic winning a deciding third set. Then they met in the quarters at Wimbledon, Cilic winning in 5 on that occasion. There have been 12 or more games in 6 of the 10 sets they have contested and we will likely see multiple tiebreakers in this one.
Best Bet: Over 23.5 games ($1.91)
