Surfing Preview – Fiji Pro

Fiji Pro

We may be rolling into winter down under but the sun is shining and the surf is up in Fiji as the world’s best surfers are set to run at the world class reef passes of Cloudbreak. Championship leader Adriano de Souza and Kelly Slater headline the field but there will be a stack of Aussies in contention including Owen Wright, Mick Fanning, Joel Parkinson and Matt Wilkinson. Winner of the local trials Aca Ravulo will also take part after his perfect 10 thanks to an incredible tube. The field is wide open and with a host of markets including Event Winner, Top 4 Finish and Heat Betting the action will be non-stop. Here is a look at the best bets for the Fiji Pro.

Market Best Bet Description

Winner

Owen Wright ($7.00) The Aussie has been very consistent in 2015 and that should see him get through the early rounds with relative ease. He has been warming up in Tahiti and as a preferred goofy foot the break sets up perfectly for him.

Value

Matt Wilkinson ($26.00) Coming off a 3rd place in the Oi Rio Pro Matt will again be every chance of going all the way. With a heat score average of 12.32 if he can get through a tough early round look for him to make a charge for it. Also take him for a Top 4 Finish @ $6.

Heat 1

Kelly Slater ($1.57) He may be short in the betting but there is a reason for this. Up against Pupo and Hall he will be winning. Roll him into your multi’s.

Heat 4

Dane Reynolds At this price Dane Reynolds is an absolute bolter. He recceived a wildcard into the draw and if he can replicate the form displayed in his Sampler released last week he will progress to the next round.

Heat 6

Adriano de Souza ($2.25) Adriano de Souza is ranked number 1 for a reason. He has shown versatility across a number of different conditions and breaks and headlines the ‘Brazilian Storm’. He will be cooking up a storm in the opening round and is a great bet at this price.

Heat 9

Nat Young ($2.25) The top ranked American takes on Ferreira and Patacchia Jr in his heat. He has already reached 10 heat wins in 2015 and will be making it 11 in this one.
