EPL Gameweek 31 & FA Cup Quarter Finals

We have a split round in the EPL this week with the FA Cup Quarter Finals to run in tandem with 4 EPL fixtures. The Wolf has done the form and says injuries to key players and a short turnaround for several sides will lead to multiple upsets.

EPL Gameweek 31 Preview and Tips

EPL Feature Previews

Stoke v Everton – (Sun 2:00am)
The writing is on the wall for Stoke and one of the most consistent sides in the Premier League find themselves in a huge battle to remain in the top flight. It is unfamiliar territory for The Potters. They have finished no worse that 14th since being promoted a decade ago and have finished in the top half in 3 of the last 4 seasons. Their problem this season – defence! Over the last decade, defence has been their identity but the 56 goals conceded to date is the most in any of their previous seasons in the Premier League. The fact that there are still 8 games to go speaks volumes of how bad their defence has been. Nevertheless, this is the time when relegation bound sides respond. Everton have lost their last 5 away EPL fixtures and will be without their key play maker in Sigurdsson. This will be a real dogfight and The Wolf is going to take the value on offer for Stoke.
Best: Stoke WIN ($2.40)
Value: Teams To Score – Stoke Only ($3.75)

Liverpool v Watford – (Sun 4:30am)
It ended 3-3 when they last met on the opening day of the season and it is fair to say that both sides have exceeded their pre-season expectations. Liverpool have been an attacking juggernaut and remain undefeated at home in the Premier League. Spurs are the only side to take points of them in their last 6 games at Anfield in a stretch that has seen the Reds score 19 goals – more than 3 goals per game. Many would give Watford every chance in this one but The Wolf warns us not confuse their results at Vicarage Road with their performance away from home. They have won their last 3 at home, including a win over Chelsea but on the road they have been abysmal. They have lost 7 and draw 1 in their last 8 away league games and have failed to find the back of the net in 6 of those matches. We’ve been all over both teams to score in Reds matches this season but with 4 clean sheets in their last 6 across all competitions, look for them to be tidy at the back this time around.
Best: Teams To Score – Liverpool Only ($1.85)
Value: Liverpool 3-0 ($7.50)

FA Cup Quarter Finals Previews

Swansea v Tottenham – (Sat 11:15pm)
Spurs were dealt a savage blow in the 4-1 win over Bournemouth with star striker Harry Kane sustaining an ankle injury that will keep him sidelined for a month. It could not have come at a worse time as they battle for a crucial piece of silverware and a top 4 spot. Meanwhile, Swansea are looking to continue what has been a very impressive run since Carvalhal took over at the helm. The Swans have lost just 1 of their last 15 across all competitions which includes 7 straight wins at Liberty Stadium! That includes wins over Arsenal and Liverpool leaving The Wolf stunned at the price on offer for the home side. With Spurs winning just 2 of their last 7 away matches and Harry Kane sidelined we will be backing the upset!
Best: Swansea Double Chance ($2.35)
Value: Swansea WIN ($7.00)

Leicester v Chelsea – (Mon 3:30am)
Wolfy has very little interest in Chelsea at the moment. He has not been shy to criticise the defensive tactics of Antonio Conte and is not surprised that they have won just 1 of their last 5 across all competitions. It get deeper… the Blues have lost their last 5 away games and won only 1 of their last 9. At this point in time, they are not a good team, and anyone who thinks otherwise has had the wool pulled over their eyes. Winning at King Power Stadium is no easy feat – just ask the last 8 teams to play there. They have allowed a total of only 3 goals in their last 7 games at the venue and Chelsea hardly have spark in attack. They were played off the park by Barcelona in a midweek UCL loss and will find the going tough against a Leicester side full of momentum.
Best: Chelsea Under 1.5 goals ($1.70)
Value: Leicester WIN ($3.50)
