EPL Gameweek 25 Preview and Tips
Full round of midweek EPL action with Spurs hosting Man Utd in the match of the round. As always The Wolf breaks down all the action!
EPL Feature Previews
Swansea v Arsenal – (Wed 6:45am)
Don’t be fooled into thinking that this one will be a walk in the park for the Gunners. They have won just 3 of their 12 away EPL matches this season and only 1 of their last 5. In that stretch they lost to Bournemouth and dropped points away to West Brom, West Ham and Southampton. The fact that all of those sides are in the bottom half reflect just how bad they have been away from home this season. Swansea on the other hand are undefeated in their last 5 across all competitions and beat Liverpool the last time they walked the turf at Liberty Stadium. Under 2.5 goals is 6-1 in their last 7 league games at home and with Arsenal producing just 14 goals in their 12 away games The Wolf is backing that trend to continue.
Best: Under 2.5 goals ($2.10)
Value: Draw ($4.25)
Huddersfield v Liverpool – (Wed 7:00am)
The last week has defined Liverpool’s problems over the last 5 seasons. They ended Man City’s undefeated run in the league only to lose away to bottom of the league Swansea before a FA Cup loss at home to West Brom. IT makes the price on offer for them look very, very skinny! Huddersfield have found the back of the net in 7 of their last 8 home EPL matches which is music to The Wolf’s ears with Liverpool conceding in 10 of their 12 away games this season. Both teams to score and the Overs.
Best: Both Teams To Score – YES ($2.05)
Value: Over 3.5 goals ($2.75)
Chelsea v Bournemouth – (Thur 6:45am)
Wolfy has been critical of Conte’s defensive tactics but they are the reason why Chelsea sit in 3rd place on the ladder. Their 16 goals against is equal best with Man Utd and they have now posted 6 clean sheets in their last 7 EPL fixtures. Morata looks set to miss out which means Hazard will play behind Batshuayi. Despite playing at home to one of the worst attacking sides in the league we are almost certain to see Conte deploy the holding midfield duo of Kante and Bakayoko. Bournemouth have scored in only half of their away games this season and were held scoreless in trips to Arsenal, Tottenham and both Manchester clubs. They will not be finding the back of the net at The Bridge.
Best: HT/FT – Chelsea/Chelsea ($1.70)
Value: Teams To Score – Chelsea Only ($2.15)
Man City v West Brom – (Thur 7:00am)
West Brom will be brimming with confidence following their FA Cup win over Liverpool. Their league form reads just a single loss in their last 5 but The Wolf says the City will more than just dent their team morale. City have won 13 straight against the Baggies across all competitions, scoring at least 3 times in 8 of the last 10 encounters. City will be without Sane for up to a month which will see Bernardo Silva slot in on the wing. The league leaders have won 11 straight at home – scoring 41 goals along the way! Whn Aguero, De Bruyne and David Silva are all in the lineup don;t hesitate to push the chips in for a big City win.
Best: Handicap Man City -2 ($2.15)
Value: Man City Over 3.5 goals ($2.85)
Tottenham v Man Utd – (Thur 7:00am)
We’ve saved the best for last in Gameweek 25 as Spurs host Man Utd. Despite a 6 game undefeated run in the league, Spurs are still two points adrift of 4th placed Liverpool. Now they face a Red Devils side that has won it’s last 5 across all competitions – maintaining 5 clean sheets along the way. If that wasn’t enough they have managed to secure the services of Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean will add the necessary spark to their attack that has been missing and we will not have to wait long to see it. The Wolf says this match screams Unders! Both teams have managed to find the back of the net in just 1 of the last 7 EPL clashes between the two sides with the home side winning 6 of the last 7. It will be a dour affair that will not live up to the hype.
Best: Both Teams To Score – NO ($2.10)
Value: Under 1.5 goals ($3.75)
