EPL Gameweek 20 Preview and Tips
Man City extended their lead even further as Man Utd dropped points away to Leicester. The question has now become where or not City can go undefeated…
EPL Match Previews
Tottenham v Southampton – (Tue 11:30pm)
Spurs found their scoring touch in what was supposed to be a very tough trip away to Burnley but they can thank none other than Harry Kane for his hat-trick. They now face another tricky opponent in Southampton who have allowed more than one goal in just 1 of their last 5 Premier League matches. Tottenham don’t have the depth of the other top sides and we are unlikely to see any significant changes to the starting XI over the busy festive period. What we will see is Tottenham play a very patient brand of football in the closing stages of matches once they get ahead. The Wolf expects them to take the lead and coast to the finish line.
Best: Under 2.5 goals ($2.15)
Value: Teams To Score – Tottenham Only ($2.15)
Chelsea v Brighton – (Wed 2:00am)
The Blues looked very one dimensional against Everton and it is becoming very clear that Hazard is carrying far too much load on attack. Conte has again come under fire for playing a far too defensive lineup and The Wolf could not agree more. His substitutions against Everton were like for like, taking off Willian, Moses and Pedro in a match where they needed a goal. Brighton will do exactly what West Ham, Southampton and Everton have done in recent weeks – set up deep and force Chelsea to go wide. The supply from wide areas has been boor and other than Morata they have no target inside the 18 yard box. Brighton have conceded just 5 goals in their last 5 away matches and that includes trips to Man Utd and Tottenham. The way Chelsea are playing right now The Wolf cannot see them scoring more than twice.
Best: Under 2.5 goals ($2.25)
Value: 1st Half Correct Score 0-0 ($3.60)
Man Utd v Burnley – (Wed 2:00am)
After conceding first against Leicester, Man Utd found themselves a goal up and a man up but it wasn’t enough as they conceded in injury time. They have been sloppy defensively as of late with just 1 clean sheet in their last 8 matches across all competitions. Burnley are coming off a loss to Spurs, just their second away from home in 9 league games this season. They have wins away to Chelsea and Everton this season to go with draws against Spurs and Liverpool. United will be without both Smalling and Valencia while Rashford will come back in for Martial. The likely absence of Chris Wood will affect Burnley going forward but The Wolf will again be putting faith in their defence to keep things very tight.
Best: Under 2.5 goals ($2.10)
Value: Correct Score Man Utd 1-0 ($6.50)
Liverpool v Swansea – (Wed 4:30am)
Liverpool were every bit themselves against Arsenal. The were tremendous on the counter attack and were relentless in their pursuit of goals. They got 3 of them but as has been the case they were abysmal at the back conceding 3 times in 5 minutes. It is unacceptable at this level and it doesn’t matter who they are up against you have to back their opponents to find the back of the net. Swansea have scored 7 goals in their last 3 against Liverpool which includes two wins. Going further back they have found the back of the net in 7 of the last 9 meetings. The Wolf says they are massive value to score multiple goals!
Best: Both Teams To Score – YES ($2.20)
Value: Swansea Over 1.5 goals ($7.00)
