Feature Previews

Arsenal v Basel – (Thur 4:45am)
They are one of the hottest teams in Europe at the moment and they are playing without a recognised striker. Wenger has opted to play Sanchez as the target man with the speed of Iwobi and Walcott off him, capped off with Ozil in the hole. They are undefeated in their last 7 and were nothing short of clinical in a 3-0 win over Chelsea. The quartet compliment each other very well and with Carzola in behind their short passing game and explosive speed are second to none. Basel may be running away with it in the Swiss league but this is a whole different level. They are already 13 points clear after just 9 games but as we have seen in the passed teams fail to lift their level. Janko and Doumbia have been unstoppable up front with Steffen and Delgado pulling the strings in midfield. Basel though have won just 1 of their last 8 away from home in the UCL and this is a task that will be unable to manage.
Best Bet: HT/FT – Arsenal/Arsenal ($1.95)
Value Bet: Team Total Arsenal Over 2.5 goals ($2.30)

Atl Madrid v Bayern Munich – (Thur 4:45am)
Atletico were a penalty shootout away from completing the impossible last season. They beat Barca in the Round of 16 and accounted for Bayern in the semi before losing the shootout to cross town rivals Real Madrid in the final. They have proven to be the specialists of the two legged ties in the knockout stages but this is a different proposition. This is the first time under Simeone that they have drawn a genuine powerhouse in their group. As a Spanish club they have the benefit of avoiding Real and Barca in the group stage but there will be no running from Bayern. The Munich club will be out to avenge the semi final loss and it comes as no surprise to see them a perfect 5 from 5 in the Bundesliga. Ancelotti will put his own touches on the style of football they play. He added Renato and Hummelos to a already star studded line up but it is Vidal, Alonso, Ribery and Robben who hold the key according to The Wolf. Alonso and Vidal provide the muscle and distribution while Ribery, Douglas Costa and Robben create havoc. As always Atletico will play their brusing brand of football but it is something that Ancelotti will be very familiar with from his decades in the Serie A. He is a master tactician and The Wolf will be taking Bayern at the odds in this one.
Best Bet: Bayern Munich WIN ($2.50)
Value Bet: Teams To Score – Bayern Munich Only ($3.60)

Celtic v Man City – (Thur 4:45am)
The results of Celtic in the SPL are irrelevant when it comes to the Champions League. They have a 4 point lead in the league with a game in hand and beat Kilmarnok 6-1 at the weekend. The result we are concerned about is the 7-0 thumping they were handed by Barcelona – and guess what… now they take on the man that taught that side how to tear teams apart. Pep Guardiola has had instant success at City and they have won all 10 of their competitive matches this season. They are scoring goals for fun and you can be sure there will be no letting up in this one. They could leave Aguero, Silva and De Bruyne on the bench for this one and still win by 5 goals! The $1.33 on offer for them to win is the closest thing to free money this week and The Wolf says to use it as a banker in all of your multi’s. Take City in all the handicap markets!
Best Bet: Man City -1 ($1.80)
Value Bet: Man City -2 ($3.10)

Monchengladbach v Barcelona – (Thur 4:45am)
Messi will be on the sidelines for the next few weeks as a result of a groin injury but that will not change the result in this one. Without him they put five past Sporting Gijon and his absence will actually lift his teammates according to The Wolf. Suarezm Neymar and co will be eager to show that they can be just as dominant without Messi. Monchengladbach will be asking what they did to draw Man City and Barca in their group. Last season they showed that they could match it with the best with back to back draws against Juventus and a win over Sevilla but this year things could not have gone worse. They have lost their driving force in midfield and that man was Xhaka. They have had to change their style and formation as a result and it will take time to adjust. As is common with Bundesliga sides there is no lack of technical ability but when you remove a talent like Xhaka from a squad that relies on him he is very difficult to replace. The Wolf is never one to ride the favourites but there is a real lack of quality in the UCL this year which will see dominant wins from the big names. With 5 of the last 8 different winners absent from the competition (Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, AC Milan and Inter) the door is open for smaller sides but a whole lot wider for the contenders. The winner of this group could come down to goal difference and that means no letting up from the Catalans!
Best Bet: Barcelona WIN ($1.44)
Value Bet: Team Total Barcelona Over 3.5 goals ($4.20)
