The Wolf is excited about the return of jumps racing and has singled out a DK Weir runner in a maiden hurdle as his best of the day.

Hale Soriano earned a reputation as a perennial bridesmaid last season but when you go back through the form, he was constantly running into smart horses – All Well, Wish Come True, Two Hats, and Mujadale are just some of the horses who broke their maiden against this British bred gelding from the Darren Weir camp. He will be fit enough for this, having had four flat runs and two hurdle trials, and he will never get a better chance to win one.

Unresolved is a new addition to the Jarrod McLean team and The Wolf thinks it won’t take long for him to find the winners stall. Formerly trained by Danny O’Brien, he has shown enough ability to win this race if right. Look for Jarrod’s brother Brad to sit on pace today and take plenty of running down.
Recommended Price: $3.20
Discussions looks like a horse who will go on to better things than just winning at Goulburn. He finished off his last campaign with back to back wins, leading all the way at Canberra then repeating the dose at Wyong. Trainer Joe Pride sent him to the paddock following those wins and he looks to have come back better than ever, most recently winning a trial at Warwick Farm in good style. Look for him to go straight to the front and keen on going.
Recommended Price: $2.25
Semari is a promising stayer from the Busuttin/Young stable, a team that excels in preparing horses to win over ground. He broke his maiden in dominant style last time out at Ballarat after showing good form prior to that, and the step up from a mile to 2000m today looks suitable. It wouldn’t surprise to see him go on to a race like the SA Derby.
