Wolf’s Sunday Racing Guide – Sunday, 4 March

The Wolf his cast his eye over the fields for Sunday and has singled out a few best bets at Wagga, Colac, Naracoorte & Sunshine Coast..

Wolf’s Best

Arthur Porrit (Wagga Race 4, No. 1)

Arthur Porrit won well last start at Albury and with luck should be able to go back to back here. He’s drawn awkwardly out wide, but The Wolf expects Jake Duffy to use his gate speed early and cross and settle him on the speed. He’s very consistent and if he brings his best he’ll prove hard to beat.

Recommended Price: $4.60

Circuit Bets

Clever George (Colac Race 3, No. 1)

Clever George arguably should have won last start at Werribee and if he’s improved off that he should prove tough to beat. He should be much improved running third up and against this line up he looks very tough to beat. Expect Jarrod Fry to settle him on the speed before letting down in the straight to hit the line.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: WIN

Von Costa Glass (Naracoorte Race 5, No. 1)

Von Costa Glass has won four from seven and if he brings his Morphettville form here he’ll prove awfully hard to run down. He’s won two from three when running fresh and is also unbeaten at this track. Lorensini takes the reins and from barrier 6 he’ll settle him at the rear of the where he can run on late. Hard to Beat.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: WIN

Umberto (Sunshine Coast Race 7, No. 2)

Umberto has returned well this prep and gets an excellent chance here to score a breakthrough win. His placing behind Snitz at Doomben last start reads very well for this and The Wolf is confident that he is nearing a win. He’s 1/1 when running third up and with luck should blow this field away.

Recommended Price: WIN
