We head to Flemington and Randwick for metro racing this Saturday. The Wolf had a HUGE day last Saturday with Prussian Vixen saluting at $43.50 and he is confident of a big day once again. Group 1 racing heads to Flemington with the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes and at Randwick he has found a Kiwi Import who he suspects will run very well at double figures..

Deploy won over this course and distance first up last prep and The Wolf is expecting a repeat of that performance here. He followed that win up with a four length victory at Rosehill ahead of Egg Tart & Dixie Blossoms; the latter of which franked the form by winning the Group 3 Angst Stakes and placing in the Group 1 Myer Classic. This form is good enough to win here and off his latest trial performance The Wolf is expecting exactly that.
Recommended Price: $2.80
Pelethronius finished off well for fourth last start behind Cellarman and looks well placed to improve off that performance here. He’s 2/2 when running third up an The Wolf is confident he’ll be able to make it 3/3 here. Stepping up to 1600m suits and with Tye Angland on again he’ll get every chance. He’s twice a winner at Randwick and with luck he should build on this record with a win here.
Recommended Price: $8.50/$2.60
Kings Will Dream is undefeated in Australia and The Wolf is expecting this record to remain intact here. He won well last start at Ballarat by two lengths and if he has improved off that run he’ll measure up here in town. He was very well supported last start at Ballarat – which indicates to The Wolf that he has plenty of supporters and if they come for him again here he’ll start shorter than $2.15.
Recommended Price: $2.15
Paris Rock is undefeated in three career starts and The Wolf is expecting her to go 4/4 here. Last start at Caulfield she settled just behind the leaders with cover before peeling out in the straight to hit the lead. She’s a serious talent on the rise and if she continues to race as she has done this prep she’ll remain undefeated. Damien Thornton remains on board which adds confidence as he has won on her at each of her race starts.
Recommended Price: $4.60
Late Charge hasn’t raced since August 2015, but his form on paper is good enough to win here and at his current price represents great value. Previously in his career he has beaten home Precious Gem who since went on to win the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes and also Under The Louvre who took out the G1 Stradbroke Handicap. His last run was in the Regal Roller where he finished a length behind the winner and following this he received a racetrack ban which saw him on the sidelines until now. He appears to have returned to the track well in his latest trial where he placed second behind the 2017 G1 Caulfield Guineas winner; Mighty Boss. The Wolf is expecting him to run a race here and at the price looks well over the odds.
Recommended Price: $21.00/$4.80
Aide Memoire is a New Zealand mare who has recently joined the Kris Lees stable for a possible tilt towards The Championships. She placed second in the Group 1 Tarzino Trophy when beating home Gingernuts, Volpe Veloce & Sofia Rosa; all of whom are already Group 1 winners themselves. She’s since put in an eye-catching trial at Gosford where she looked very impressive in finishing third under a strong hold. The only query for The Wolf is that she has never raced on a track that hasn’t been rain affected and with the prospect off a firm Saturday this is a slight concern, but at the current quote of $11.00/$3.40 The Wolf is prepared to find out.
Recommended Price: $11.00/$3.40
