Wolf’s Friday Racing Guide – Friday, 13 April

The Wolf is looking to kick off his weekend with multiple winners this Friday at Cranbourne & Orange! He is keen on a Danny Williams trained galloper to win the Orange Cup!

Wolf’s Best

Cincinnati Red (Cranbourne Race 3, No. 1)

Cincinnati Red has placed second on two occasions this time and The Wolf is confident that it will be third time lucky for Corstens trained filly here. She’s racing with confidence at present and if she continues to improve she’ll prove tough to beat. She’s drawn very well in barrier 1 where she is expected to receive the run of the race on the rails before sneaking through to win.

Circuit Bets

Magnesprit (Cranbourne Race 7, No. 2)

Magnesprit is drawn to sit on the speed and if he does that he’ll go very close. He won well last start in a BM58 at Mornington and although this is a step up in grade, he appears to be more than capable of handling it. Jessica Eaton remains aboard which is a positive and The Wolf is supremely confident of him scoring back to back wins here.

Personable (Orange Race 2, No. 3)

Personable drops sharply in grade for this and should prove very tough to beat. Last start she placed at Rosehill behind Velocita and although she was well beaten, she was far from disgraced. Greg Ryan has won on her four times and The Wolf is supremely confident he will make it five wins aboard her here.

Lucy Rose (Orange Race 6, No. 5)

Lucy Rose has speed to burn and should be doing exactly that here. She was dominant last start at Canberra when leading from the get go to score by over a length. She’ll do the same again here with Mathew Cahill in the saddle and should take catching over a distance she loves.

Mister Marmalade (Orange Race 7, No. 4)

Mister Marmalade is undefeated over 2100m and The Wolf is confident that with his best performance he will be able to take home the Orange Cup. He’s drawn well in barrier 3 for Mitchell Bell where he is expected to get a soft run throughout before putting in a challenge for the lead in the straight. He tuned up nicely for this with a win over 1800m last start at Wagga and is expected to peak here over 2100m.
