Wolf’s Racing Guide – Wednesday, 6 December

Wolf’s Best

Balearic (Warwick Farm Race 2, No. 1)

Last start placegetter behind Seaway who can improve stepping out to 1400m.

His last start run was very encouraging, where he tracked up behind the winner of the race only to be narrowly outclassed in the final stages.

The Wolf expects these formlines to hold up and for Balearic to be a dominant winner in this.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $3.10 – $3.50.

Circuit Bets

Gracefilly (Warwick Farm Race 3, No. 5)

Waterhouse/Bott Filly who was beaten for speed early last start but managed to stick on well for second behind Miss Imagination; who received a suck run on the rails to win.

There was plenty of merit in this fillies run last time out and with a soft lead The Wolf is confident she can go one better.

There doesn’t appear to be as much pace on paper in this race as opposed to her last start, so The Wolf is confident she’ll be able to dictate the race from the front.

Recommended Bet: Gracefilly to WIN at $6.50.
Confidence Level:

Prue’s Angel (Ipswich Race 4, No. 1)

Last start winner from the Tony Gollan Stable who looks well placed to make it back to back wins here.

She’s unbeaten second up and The Wolf is expecting this record to remain in tact here.

The main danger in the race is Clockwork Orange who has shown plenty of ability, however she is first up and The Wolf is confident that Prue’s Angel’s race fitness will see her finish in first place.

Expect Zoe White to position her just behind the leaders before taking over late in the race.

Recommended Bet: Prue’s Angel to WIN at $3.20.
Confidence Level:

Lord Macau (Warwick Farm Race 7, No. 7)

Last start winner at Hawkesbury who The Wolf expects will make every post a winner here.

He flew out to lead that day and was never headed from there, against a relatively smart midweek field.

He maps to lead again here and with Hyeronimus taking the reins should get every chance in front from the soft barrier.

He’s twice a winner over this distance and his stats at the track read for 4: 2-0-1, suggesting he’ll prove tough to catch.

Recommended Bet: Lord Macau to WIN at $7.50.
Confidence Level:

Bolter

Inaminute (Bendigo Race 5, No. 5)

Bendigo-trained galloper who won well last start over this course and distance.

He flew out to lead that day under Harry Coffey wasn’t headed from there.

He remains in the same grade for this and The Wolf is confident he’ll be able to repeat that effort here.

Expect from barrier 2 for Ben Allen to take him straight to the front and make his own luck in the lead.

Recommended Bet: Inaminute EACH WAY at $8.00/$2.75.
