Wolf’s Racing Guide – Wednesday 27 September

Wolf’s Best

In Times Of War (Rosehill Race 5, No. 8)

Perennial placegetter who returned first up from a spell with a solid placing behind Nictock.

She was very well backed that day and only just missed, suggesting there are a few out there who have a very big opinion of her.

She’ll have taken plenty of fitness from that first up run and with the majority of the field resuming from a spell, The Wolf expects she’ll have the fitness edge to be winning here.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $4.00 – $4.60.

Demerara (Rosehill Race 1, No. 2)

Unbeaten filly from the Godolphin stable who cruised to a four length victory last start at Gosford.

She has ability and The Wolf expects she’ll measure up in the city.

Expect from the soft draw for Avdulla to settle her on the speed and from there, should prove very tough to run down.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $2.00 – $2.25.
Confidence Level:

Osborne Bulls (Rosehill Race 6, No. 4)

Undefeated gelding from the Godolphin stable who made up a stack of ground last start to win at Gosford.

Although he didn’t beat much that day, the manner of his win was ultra-impressive as he cruised past the leader to score.

He’s risen through the grades well and if he’s taken any improvement off that run he’ll be going very close here.

Avdulla sticks aboard which adds confidence and The Wolf is expecting a big performance from this son of Street Cry.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $5.50 – $7.00.
Confidence Level:

Bord De Gain (Flemington Race 8, No. 5)

Speedy gelding who has placed behind the ultra-talented; Wise Hero.

He’s previously won first up and has also won in this grade at Bendigo and The Wolf suspects he’ll be fully wound up to win here.

Familiar rider in Ben Thompson hops aboard here and from the soft draw should go very close.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $6.00 – $8.00.
Confidence Level:

Bolters

Main Stage (Flemington Race 7, No. 7)

Bussuttin/Young trained galloper who is more than capable of making the step up from maiden grade to be competitive here.

Last start at Kilmore and he appeared very green in the run, running all over the place before knuckling down to score by over a length.

He’s bred to stay and The Wolf is confident you can trust the stable here, he’ll appreciate the step up to 1800m and at odds should run a big race.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $10.00 – $12.00.
Confidence Level:

Fortensky (Rosehill Race 7, No. 2)

Consistent gelding from the Waller Yard who saluted at big odds for The Wolf a fortnight ago and he’s keen to get back aboard here.

He very rarely runs a bad race as his record suggests; having won two from his last seven starts and placing in the other five.

The Wolf expects he’ll jump straight to the lead and at odds you can bet each way with confidence.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $9.00 – $10.00.
