Wolf’s Racing Guide – Wednesday 1, November

Wolf’s Best

Red Zephyr (Canterbury Race 2, No. 1)

Waterhouse/Bott trained colt who looks well placed to score his third win on the trot here.

The form out of his last two races has been strong; with Sweet Victory coming out to win at Hawkesbury and All Too Soon who finished third at Randwick last Saturday.

Tim Clark stays aboard and from the draw expect he’ll take him straight to the lead and take plenty of catching.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $3.20 – $3.60.

Circuit Bets

Rosetta’s Whey (Canterbury Race 3, No. 5)

Gerald Ryan trained galloper who narrowly missed last start behind Token Of Love over this course and distance.

Token Of Love has since franked this form, by going on to place at Moonee Valley in a hot form race behind Falika.

She’s a consistent galloper and The Wolf suspects that having had the previous run over 1900m, she should be fit and well enough to win here.

Recommended Bet: Rosetta’s Whey to WIN at $5.00.

Confidence Level:

Golden Organic (Canterbury Race 6, No. 5)

Ex-Anthony Cummings trained galloper who is now with Mark Newnham at Randwick.

First up in 2016 over this course and distance he was an eye-catcher, settling at the rear of the field to weave a path to be the widest, where he found space to chase down the leaders.

He was a bit green that day in the straight, where he wobbled about, but when asked he showed a powerful turn of foot.

He’s had two trials leading into this and against what appears to be a relatively weak field, The Wolf is confident he’ll go close.

Recommended Bet: Golden Organic to WIN at $9.00.
Confidence Level:

Regal Moon (Ascot Race 7, No. 8)

A winner first up last prep, The Wolf is confident that lightning will strike twice here.

She showed above average ability on debut and throughout her first campaign, and first up for Team Williams here, she looks very hard to beat.

Expect Pike to settle her midfield and from there, let down nicely in the straight.

Recommended Bet: Regal Moon to WIN.
Confidence Level:

Bolter

Eccellere (Canterbury Race 7, No. 5)

Bold front-runner from the Richard Litt Yard who will look to put a gap on them turning for home.

Last start he did exactly that, however faded late due to the speed that took place mid-race.

He maps to get a very soft time of it in front here and if he can keep going as The Wolf suspects he will, he’ll take running down.

Recommended Bet: Eccellere EACH WAY at $9.00/$3.00.
Confidence Level:

Bendigo Cup

Qewy (Bendigo Race 8, No. 1)

A winner of the Geelong Cup and Sandown Cup last time in Australia, this Charlie Appleby trained galloper has returned to raid Australia once again.

He’s had an okay prep back in the U.K but The Wolf suspects that was only a tune-up for his return to Australia.

He needs to win to have a shot at the Melbourne Cup, so everything will be thrown at him to win this.

He meets a small field here and whilst the Darren Weir runner will be hard to beat, he should have the class edge to take home the Bendigo Cup.

Recommended Bet: Qewy to WIN at $2.50.
