Wolf’s Racing Guide – Sha Tin, 7 January

Wolf’s Best

Premiere (Sha Tin Race 7, No. 4)

Premiere has won his last three starts and The Wolf is confident he’ll be able to take home the Group 3 feature with a win here.

He loves the 1000m having record all of his wins over it and if he can continue his unbeaten record this season he’ll take beating.

House Of Fun flew home last start to test him in the final stages of his last start, but if Premiere can pinch a few lengths on him mid race he’ll leave House Of Fun with too much to do over the final furlong.

Premiere will be hard to beat.

Recommended Bet: Premiere to WIN.

Winningli (Sha Tin Race 2, No. 11)

Winningli has been very consistent this season and gets another excellent chance to breakthrough for a well deserved win here.

He’s drawn poorly once again which is a concern, however Derek Leung should be able to push him forward to ensure he gets every chance on the speed.

He’s got the lightweight here once again and The Wolf is keen to be aboard.

Recommended Bet: Winningli to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Noble Steed (Sha Tin Race 5, No. 1)

Noble Steed was utterly dominant last start and The Wolf is expecting a similar performance here.

He beat home Royale Elegance and Travel Emperor that day at Sha Tin; both of which would be competitive in a race like this.

He has to carry the top weight here but The Wolf doubts that will stop him from recording his second win in as many starts.

Recommended Bet: Noble Steed to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Simply Brilliant (Sha Tin Race 9, No. 2)

Simply Brilliant is the first son of Frankel to race in Hong Kong and his two placings thus far have been simply brilliant.

He really got going late last start over 1200m which gave every indication to The Wolf that he was ready for the 1400m on offer here.

He’s drawn well in barrier 7 where Zac Purton should be looking to settle him midfield with cover.

He’s the one to beat in this and with even luck he will be doing exactly that.

Recommended Bet: Simply Brilliant to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Time To Celebrate (Sha Tin Race 10, No. 4)

Time To Celebrate has put together an impressive record of two wins from four this season and looks well placed to build on that record here.

He won well last start over this course and distance where he went straight to the lead and was never headed from there.

The form out of that race is strong, as he beat home Rattan; who had previously won three races in Class before placing behind Time To Celebrate.

The form around this galloper is strong and The Wolf is keen to back him here.

Recommended Bet: Time To Celebrate to WIN.
