Wolf’s Racing Guide – Sha Tin 14 October

Wolf’s Best

Je Pense (Sha Tin Race 3, No. 6)

Unbeaten in two runs for his 2017/18 campaign and The Wolf expects he’ll make it three in a row here.

Las start Chad Schofield settled him midfield, where he was able to enjoy a soft run in transit before taking over in the straight.

He powered away to victory last start and The Wolf is confident that with another positive ride he’ll be doing the same here.

Recommended Bet: Je Pense to WIN.

Circuit Bets

Strathclyde (Sha Tin Race 4, No. 2)

Speedy sprinter from the Tony Millard stable who scored a dominant victory on the Sha Tin All Weather Track late last season.

He’ll have improved off that win and his trial in preparation for this was very good. He was taken to the lead to finish fourth under a very strong hold.

The Wolf expects he’ll be better for the break and he expects a very bold showing from Strathclyde here.

Recommended Bet: Strathclyde to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Solar Hei Hei (Sha Tin Race 6, No. 2)

Speedy leader from the David Hall stable who has placed twice in three starts this prep.

He’s a very straight forward horse, take him to the front where he is comfortable and let him do the rest of the work.

His previous form suggests he is better over 1200m – 1400m, but if he can control the tempo from the front over the mile he could prove very tough to run down.

Expect Matthew Poon to take him to the lead and from there, play catch me if you can.

Recommended Bet: Solar Hei Hei to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Brave Legend (Sha Tin Race 10, No. 3)

A winner already this season, The Wolf is confident this bloke will be returning to the winner’s stall here.

Two starts ago he circled the field very well to win and The Wolf suspects if he brings that form to Sha Tin, he’ll take beating.

He gets the step up to 1400m which suits and with enough speed on early he’ll take plenty of beating.

Recommended Bet: Brave Legend to WIN.

Bolter

Saul’s Special (Sha Tin Race 8, No. 3)

Ex Daniel Morton trained galloper who turned his form around with a very solid third placing last time out at Sha Tin.

He sat on the speed that day only to be run over late, but his performance held a lot of merit.

Expect he’ll do the same again here at odds and with the fitness he’ll have taken from the first up run, should be going very close at a price.

Recommended Bet: Saul’s Special EACH WAY.
