Wolf’s Racing Guide – Saturday 23 September

Wolf’s Best

Menari (Rosehill Race 7, No. 2)

Menari The Ferrari. What more can be said about this talented colt?

He’s been ultra-impressive winning both lead up runs into this race and The Wolf is confident he still has more improvement to come.

This is his grand final and if his last two performances are anything to by, it’s his race to lose.

The last three winners of this race have come through the Run To The Rose and The Wolf is confident that Menari will be the fourth to do so.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $2.00 – $2.20.

Double Down: Expect him to settle close to the speed.

Washington Heights (Rosehill Race 5, No. 5)

Ex-Hong Kong galloper who has returned to Australia with a bang!

Since returning he’s had three starts for two wins and a luckless fourth.

Last start he beat a classy field holding off a fast finishing Dawn Wall.

He has the residual fitness to be winning here and The Wolf is confident he’ll doing exactly that.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $3.10 – $3.40.

Confidence Level:

Fuhryk (Caulfield Race 8, No. 5)

Talented mare from the Hayes/Dabernig who wasn’t fully tested when first up over this course and distance.

The ride by Craig Williams that day was inconclusive and The Wolf is confident that had she settled closer, would’ve gone very close to winning.

She was very well supported last start, suggesting there a few with a big opinion of her and The Wolf suspects they’ll be sticking with her here.

Expect from barrier 6 for Beau Mertens to settle her close to the speed and with even luck, should take running down.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $5.00 – $6.00.
Confidence Level:

Daysee Doom (Rosehill Race 8, No. 4)

Speedy mare from the Ron Quinton Stable who is unbeaten at 1400m from two attempts.

She’s a very consistent mare who has only run outside of the top three on three occasions from 13, including six wins.

She finished off her last prep with a win in the Group 3 Dark Jewel at Scone and a repeat of that performance here suggests she’ll go very close.

She’ll strip fitter for this run and The Wolf is confident that with a positive ride, she’ll take plenty of beating.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $5.00 – $6.00.

Confidence Level:

Zumbelina (Rosehill Race 9, No. 5)

Winner of five from nine who looks very well placed to build on that record here.

She chased down the consistent Tango Rain last start and if that’s any form reference to go by, she’ll be hard to beat here.

The form out that race has been franked with Isorich coming out and winning at $20 last Saturday at Randwick.

The form is strong, she’ll be fitter second up and The Wolf is confident she’ll make it back to back wins here.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $2.35 – $2.60.

Confidence Level:

Bolter

Meet And Greet (Caulfield Race 3, No. 10)

Ex-Queensland trained galloper who put together two solid wins at Doomben earlier this prep.

Since then he has finished down the track behind Alward at Rosehill, but his performance that day held plenty of merit as it was his first start beyond a mile.

He drops back to the more suitable 1800m here for his first run in Victoria and The Wolf is confident he’ll be fit and ready to go at a price.

Recommended Bet: Price Pump from $13.00 – $16.00.
