Wolf’s Racing Guide – Happy Valley, 15 November

Wolf’s Best

Money Boy (Happy Valley Race 6, No. 12)

John Size trained galloper who flew home to narrowly miss last start over this course and distance.

He took the long way home that day, settling at the rear where he found himself travelling three-wide and doing far too much work in the run.

He gets Moreira on here which adds confidence, as he is the only jockey to have won him before.

Expect he’ll settle closer than midfield and from there, take running down.

Recommended Bet: Money Boy to WIN.

Gobi Storm (Happy Valley Race 2, No. 3)

Flying leader who has narrowly been run down his last two starts over this course and distance.

He makes his own luck out front which is to his credit, as it’s earned him two second placings this prep.

He’ll do the same again here and jump to the lead and with Moreira hopping aboard should prove very tough to run down.

Recommended Bet: Gobi Storm to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Phantom Falcon (Happy Valley Race 3, No. 3)

Perennial placegetter who with the soft barrier draw in 2 looks well placed to score a deserved win.

The draw is the key to his chances here, as last start when jumping from barrier 11 he had to use far too much energy to cross.

He’ll get a soft lead here which he needs and the 3kg claim from Dylan Mo gets him very well in at the weights.

Recommended Bet: Phantom Falcon to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Daring Heart (Happy Valley Race 4, No. 11)

A maiden in Hong Kong who finally looked to put it all together last start when finishing a narrow third over this course and distance.

He’s looked very plain all throughout his career in Hong Kong but his last start third caught the eye of The Wolf  who is keen to side with him here.

He settled midfield that day as opposed to near last, which appeared to do him a world of good.

He’ll go very close here if he can repeat his last start performance.

Recommended Bet: Daring Heart to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Thunder Stomp (Happy Valley Race 8, No. 8)

Last start winner who faces the task of progressing from Class 3 to Class 2.

Rising in class is always a tough ask, but with the 3kg claim he’s well in the weights and his last start winner over this course and distance held plenty of merit.

Expect he’ll settle midfield in the run before letting down nicely in the straight.

Recommended Bet: Thunder Stomp to WIN.
