Horse Racing Tips – Rosehill
14 July 2017
The Wolf’s racing tips for Rosehill. His best bet is
Gold Symphony (Rosehill Race 7, No. 1).
Race 1: 2. Calculated
CALCULATED was strong when shedding his maiden tag first up at Canterbury ten days ago. Has looked sharp so far this campaign. By So You Think, he should appreciate rising to 1400m with added fitness second up. Can go on with things here.
Race 2: 2. Hetty Heights
HETTY HEIGHTS resumed with a closing third at this course over 1200m a fortnight ago. Will be fitter for the run and has a good second up outing. Will be better suited up to this trip as well.
Race 3: 6. Buddy Honest
BUDDY HONEST won at Quirindi two back and wasn't far off making all in last Saturday's Highway Handicap at Warwick Farm. Looks a top talent and that Nic's Vendetta form is very strong.
Race 4: 1. Arbeitsam
ARBEITSAM was convincing when making all at Warwick Farm over 1400m seven days ago. Untried over this distance however half brother was comfortable enough over this sort of distance. Could take some catching.
Race 5: 9. Faith's Encore
FAITH'S ENCORE resumes after a three month bleeding ban incurred when she ran fourth in the Fireball Stakes during the autumn. Is a talented filly who has a good first up record. Top pick.
Race 6: 8. Washington Heights
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS returns to Australia after a short but sweet stint in Hong Kong which netted two wins and a placing from four starts. Won a trial in readiness for this and is yet to run out of the money in four prior first up outings. Hard to beat.
Race 7. 1. Gold Symphony
GOLD SYMPHONY has been strong so far this campaign. Dropped back from Group 1 level after a fair effort in the Stradbroke Handicap to win the Civic Stakes here a fortnight ago. Runner up The Monstar then went out and ran a blinder in the Ramornie. Should be peaking fourth up and Bowman rides again. Looks the one to beat here.
Race 8. 2. Signposted
SIGNPOSTED is talented Gelding that was able to string four wins on the trot last prep. Last start he finished third over 1900m where he was only narrowly beaten by half a length. The top three gapped the rest of the field suggesting his performance in defeat held a lot of merit. He’s a notorious leader so expect he’ll do the same again here and if he can get a soft enough time of it in front he could take running down.
Race 9. 3. Zaunkonig
ZAUNKONIG resumes. Fitness a query first up over this trip. That said, has a good first up record, is well drawn and gets in well at the weights following the 2kg claim. His half a length fourth behind Liapari rates well for this.
