Horse Racing Tips – Flemington
11 August 2017
The Wolf’s racing tips for Flemington. His best bet is
Rocket Tommy (Flemington Race 9, No. 7).
Race 1: 3. Nistaan
NISTAAN was good on debut before a spell and has come back well this campaign, not far away on both occasions. Drawn the inside barrier today and if he runs up to recent form will be hard to beat.
Race 2: 4. Super Haze
SUPER HAZE comes off ultra consistent form of late and proved too strong over 2600m at this course last time out. Back only slightly in trip for this and no reason he can't continue his winning form.
Race 3: 2. Sovereign Nation
SOVEREIGN NATION was well back in the Winter Championship Final over the mile here last start when running on for a narrow third. Form has somewhat been franked since and back to the 1400m off a freshen looks hard to beat.
Race 4: 5. Portion Control
A lot to like about the last start win of PORTION CONTROL who proved too strong for Show A Star over this trip at Caulfield last start. Not the strongest record here at Flemington but if he runs up to his last start effort he will be hard to hold out.
Race 5: 6. Swampland
SWAMPLAND has the added bonus of fitness on her side today and comes into this on the back of two narrow wins. Most recent came in Open three-year-old company at this C/D but can certainly measure up against the older horses today.
Race 6: 3. Knowable
Competitive race and KNOWABLE should take good improvement from his first up effort when running a disappointing 8th. Gets a much needed 3kg claim from apprentice jockey and should appreciate the extra trip on offer. Best form rates well in this field and he must be respected.
Race 7: 5. Flippant
FLIPPANT ran well in the Ramornie last start with The Monstar franking that form last Saturday. She's 1/1 up the straight and looks hard to beat if she brings her best.
Race 8: 2. Bling Dynasty
BLING DYNASTY closed well last start from the rear to be narrowly beaten over 1700m. He steps up to a suitable distance here in 2000m; where his stats read 5: 2-2-0 which is simply outstanding. Looks hard to beat here.
Race 9: 7. Rocket Tommy
ROCKET TOMMY returns with seven wins from 14 starts to his name and no placings. Possesses a good record when fresh and with Damien Oliver on board for the first time and can get the win here.
