Wolf’s Greyhound Racing Guide – Sandown Park, 21 December

Wolf’s Best

Eyes On You (Sandown Park Race 4, No. 2)

Eyes On You was the fastest heat winner to make the final and looks very well boxed to be winning again.

Last start over this course and distance he flew out of the box to lead, posting a 5.12 first sectional time.

He’s drawn well in Box 2 here and if he can repeat his last start performance he should find the rail and take running down from there.

He maps to lead and The Wolf is supremely confident he’ll be winning here.

Oronsay (Sandown Park Race 3, No. 3)

Oronsay ran a speedy 29.47 over this course and distance four starts ago and a repeat of that here suggests she’ll take running down.

She’s drawn well in Box 3 and maps to get a soft lead against a much weaker than field than she has run against in her most recent start.

Favourite Leprechaun Storm will take beating, however from the wide draw she’ll need a lot of luck and The Wolf is keen to side with Oronsay who has the inside draw.

Confidence Level:

Crash Bandicoot (Sandown Park Race 6, No. 4)

Winner of the Group 1 Vic Peters Classic at Wentworth Park, who from Box 4 maps to get the gun run on the speed.

Last start over this course and distance he ran a 5.07 first sectional time, and a repeat of that should see him leading into the first turn.

The best part of his race is down the back straight, so if he can get clear running there he’ll be able to run down the leaders and get the cash.

Confidence Level:

Not Available (Sandown Park Race 8, No. 2)

Not Available has emerged as a potential star for trainer Robert Britton and a repeat of his last start 29.44 victory suggests he’ll be very hard to run down.

He’s drawn well in Box 2 and from there maps to get a super run on the rails.

Bewildering looks to be the main danger, but he generally gets back in the run and The Wolf would much prefer to be on Not Available who appears to the likely leader.

Confidence Level:

Rockstar Stratus (Sandown Park Race 10, No. 2)

Rockstar Stratus stepped up to Group 2 level last start where he was far from disgraced, settling fourth in the run before being squeezed and shuffled back to last.

He drops in grade severely here and with his early speed should fly through and lead.

His 29.48 and 29.65 wins over 515m read very well for this and stepping up to 595m poses no problems for the son of My Bro Fabio.
