The Big Marn travelled into Rabbitohs territory to find out how Souths fans are feeling ahead of the big one!
South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Canterbury Bulldogs
Sunday 5th October, 7:20pm AEST
Big Marn Says: As much as I would love my old club the Bulldogs to win this one, I can’t tip against the Bunnies. They are the form team of the competition and what a time to find their best.
Ben Teo had the best game of his career last weekend, Luke Keary is a gun and has fought his way back into the starting side, Sam Burgess is a champion and his brothers are hitting their straps.
They have a tremendous mix of youth and experience and I think they’ll simply wear the Bulldogs down.
For the Bulldogs to win, they have to outmuscle the Bunnies forwards and hope they can get some points through kicks and a bit of James Graham magic around the rucks. I also think Tony Williams has to have the game of his life to win.
I expect Moses Mbye to replace Michael Ennis which is a big gamble but the Bunnies have their own problems with Issac Luke out as well.
It’s such an important position that both sides will be severely affected by their top hookers being absent.
Souths do look to have more points in them but I can’t write off a side as resilient as the Dogs
Recommended Bet: South Sydney Rabbitohs 13+ ($2.50)
Clive Churchill Medal Tip: Luke Keary ($17)
