I’m the first to admit that I’ve underestimated the Storm.
The big three of Smith, Cronk and Slater are starting this season where they left off last.
Tip – Storm
The Tigers play their first match at Leichhardt Oval for the season and love playing there.
They will miss Keith Galloway and will have to watch Hayne and Sandow who have started the season in great form.
I’m predicting the Tigers to win and cover the line in front of the Leichhardt faithful.
Tip – Tigers
Both of these sides had comprehensive wins last week so I’m expecting a tight contest.
I still have question marks over the Titans backline but they have an imposing backrow and bench.
Tip – Sea Eagles
The Broncos have named Justin Hodges but I’m expecting him to be ruled out.
It’s a difficult match to pick and the Roosters have a terrible record against the Broncos at this venue.
Without much confidence I’ll take the Roosters to break the trend and get the victory.
Tip – Roosters
The Sharks surprised me with their performance last week and if they held the ball were a great chance of knocking off the Rabbitohs.
Todd Carney and Michael Gordon had big games but they will miss Luke Lewis if he is ruled out.
Can’t find the Warriors so will take the Sharks in a high scoring affair.
Tip – Sharks
Souths will win and should handle the start.
The Panthers were disappointing last week and their depth will be tested with the injury to Lachlan Coote.
Rabbitohs to make it 3/3 for the season.
Tip – Rabbitohs
The Dragons just can’t beat the Raiders!
The Raiders have won 13 of their past 14 clashes against the Red V and that’s enough for me to make the Raiders my best.
Stats don’t lie, Raiders are certainties.
Tip – Raiders
Both of these sides were disappointing last week and will be looking to bounce back.
Playing in Newcastle shouldn’t be a problem for the Cowboys and I think they can cover the start in this one.
Should be a good one but JT will get his side home.
Tip – Cowboys
Best Bet – Raiders
