Wolf’s Best

Fille De Charlie (Sandown Race 5, No. 12)

Fille De Charlie won well at Moonee Valley last time out and can return to the winner’s stall with a win here.

She won well at Moonee Valley that day, where she jumped straight to the lead and kicked clear when turning for home to win by over two lengths.

The form out of that race is strong; with both Karmonaaron and Pamela Joy coming out and winning at Cranbourne.

The Wolf expects Jordan Childs to take her straight to the front and play catch me if you can from there.

Recommended Bet: Fille De Charlie to WIN.

Confluence (Sandown Race 2, No. 2)

Confluence has placed in four from five and looks the clear top pick to break his maiden here.

The son of Denman has run in some high quality races at both Flemington and Caulfield, and if he repeats either of those performances here he’ll take running down.

He’s the one to beat here off his previous form and if he’s returned from his short spell in good order he’ll be a maiden no more.

Recommended Bet: Confluence to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Cradle Mountain (Kembla Grange Race 4, No. 1)

Cradle Mountain has won his last two starts and with any luck should be getting the job done here.

He’s undefeated this prep having won at both outings by a combined six lengths and against this field he should be able to go 3/3 this prep.

He rises in grade but drops 2kg off his last start victory and from the draw looks well placed to go on with it here.

Expect Jason Collett to take him straight to the front and take catching from there.

Recommended Bet: Cradle Mountain to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Marching On (Sandown Race 6, No. 1)

Marching On won last start for The Wolf and he is keen to be on his side once again.

He looks a real staying talent on the rise and remaining in BM64 grade can see him score his third win in a row.

Expect Craig Williams to roll forward on him and take up a forward position where he can dictate the race and prove tough to run down.

Recommended Bet: Marching On to WIN.

Guangzhou (Sandown Race 7, No. 4)

Guangzhou has won third up previously in his career and The Wolf is confident he will be repeating that effort here.

Last start he struggled at Moonee Valley where he found himself far too back in the field with too much work to do, which resulted in him finishing four lengths off the winner.

The Wolf is happy to forgive that run as his best form has seen him win over the mile at Flemington and a reproduction of that performance should see cross the line in first.

Recommended Bet: Guangzhou EACH WAY.
