Wolf’s Racing Guide – Wednesday, 20 June

The Wolf is off to Canterbury & Echuca for his Wednesday Racing Guide! The Wolf is very keen on Seasons who won well last start and should be hard to beat once again..

Wolf’s Best

Seasons (Canterbury Race 3, No. 3)

Seasons scored an impressive win at Warwick Farm last start and The Wolf is confident that she’ll be able to replicate that win here. She’ll be fitter for the run from that day and from the draw The Wolf is expecting her to settle just behind the leading duo before peeling out to give chase.
Recommended Price: $1.95

Circuit Bets

Bringagem (Canterbury Race 4, No. 2)

The Wolf has been on Bringagem at his last two wins and is supremely confident that the galloper will be notching up the hat-trick of wins here. He scored in style last start over this course and distance by nearly three lengths and off that should be rock hard fit to go on with it here. He’s drawn well for Joshua Parr where he is expected to settle just behind the leaders with the gun run throughout.
Recommended Price: $2.40

Don’t Get Excited (Echuca Race 7, No. 3)

Although Don’t Get Excited was well beaten last start, he actually stuck on fairly well and should love the sharp in drop grade from Open company to a BM70. He should get a soft lead from the inside draw for jockey Jarrod Fry and from there play catch me if you can. The drop in grade for this suits and the drop back to 1200m from a mile is also a positive. He’ll be in front for a long way.
Recommended Price: WIN

King Tomlola (Canterbury Race 6, No. 3)

King Tomlola has turned into a winning machine and The Wolf is expecting his streak to continue here. He’s a turned into a new horse since joining the Gerald Ryan stable and his partnership with jockey Robyn Freeman-Key is a perfect three from three. He can either lead or settle on the speed, The Wolf expects from the wide draw that the latter is more likely and should take beating from there.
Recommended Price: WIN

Bolter

Monsieur Sisu (Canterbury Race 5, No. 2)

Monsieur Sisu scored an impressive maiden win last start and off that looks the type who can step up to 1900m and be very competitive. This is a big step up in grade which will be difficult, but he has only improved at each start and although the 1900m is unknown, he’s by Elvstroem, who won a Derby & Caulfield Cup so on paper he has been bred to stay.
Recommended Price: $14/$4.25

Sir Van Dyke (Echuca Race 8, No. 7)

The Wolf loves backing Matt Cumani horses over staying trips and Sir Van Dyke looks a prime candidate here. He is third up today and after two adequate runs over unsuitable trips, he gets out to his right trip today. Look for Dean Holland to slot him just behind Hardern and Blue Jangles, and run over the top of them late.
Recommended Price: $13/$4
