Wolf’s Racing Guide – Tuesday, 10 July

The Wolf is going right around the grounds on Tuesday with tips from Newcastle, Pakenham, Wellington and Townsville.

Wolf’s Best

Greenskeeper (Newcastle Race 3, No.9)

Greenskeeper was very good on debut at this track and with that experience under his belt he is primed to go on better today. From the Gary Portelli stable, he hit the line powerfully behind the talented Oakfield Missile and the extra trip here should be in his favour. This is not a strong race and his is well placed.

Circuit Bets

Maxey Campo (Pakenham Race 6, No.3)

Maxey Campo is a talented horse who seems to save his best form for firm or it appears, synthetic tracks. He produced a booming run behind Reserve Street last time out at this course and distance, powering home to finish a close second following a couple of failures on wet ground. A repeat of that effort will see him hard to beat here.

Recommended Price: $3.00

Daiquiri Lass (Wellington Race 5, No.9)

Daiquiri Lass has just managed to find one better at her last two runs but she gets a lovely drop in class here. The set weights conditions combined with her good recent form and the services of Greg Ryan leave her as the clear horse to beat.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $2.50

Craiglea Deken (Townsville Race 5, No.1)

Craiglea Deken has been running terrific races under crushing weights and finally gets his chance to break through under the weight for age conditions of this race. Combine the weights with his love of the track (ten wins at Townsville) ideal barrier (one) and services of Brad Pengelly and this looks like a race put on for his benefit.

Recommended Price: $2.35
