Wolf’s Racing Guide – Thursday, 21 June

The Wolf travels to Warrnambool, Hawkesbury and Gatton for some winners on Thursday.

Wolf’s Best

Oracabessa (Warrnambool Race 8, No.11)

Oracabessa won most impressively at his first start for local trainer Jarrod McLean and there is every reason to believe she can go on with it on a track that looks like being extremely heavy. Formerly trained by Robert Smerdon, she got well back in the run but charged home to win well. Out in trip today would look to suit and she can get the job done.

Circuit Bets

Dream On Girl (Warrnambool Race 1, No.9)

Dream On Girl has been building up to a win with solid placings at her last two starts. She has been strong through the line in both runs suggesting that the extra trip today holds no fears. In a particularly weak race she looks ideally placed.

Recommended Price: $2.80

Kentucky Diva (Hawkesbury Race 3, No.5)

A close relation to champion mare Makybe Diva, Kentucky Diva kicked off her career with a very good second placing at Kembla over 1400m. Trained by the Hawkes team, the step up to a mile today will suit if bloodlines mean anything, and with Brenton Avdulla engaged from a perfect barrier she should get every favour in the run.

Recommended Price: $3.50

Seq The Star (Gatton Race 3, No.7)

Seq The Star is the pride of the Lockyer Valley, having won four from four at Gatton, and she can make it five from five here. Trained just up the road in Toowoomba, she comes here off back to back wins, one at her home track, and the other one here at Gatton. Those wins came over 1050m and 1100m but she has won twice over the 850m in her career so the drop in trip won’t hurt. She pretty much steers herself around this track but having top hoop James Orman in the saddle and a good barrier, three, won’t hurt.

Recommended Price: $3.20
