Wolf’s Racing Guide – Thursday, 12 July

The Grafton Cup is the highlight of a big Thursday of racing and while the feature looks a tough race The Wolf is keen on a couple of others on the day.

Wolf’s Best

Tiyatrolani (Grafton Race 8, No.5)

Tiyatrolani has been racing very well this preparation and will enjoy a nice drop in grade from Listed company last time out at the Sunshine Coast. Jim Byrne should position her just behind the speed in a race where leaders probably won’t be suited due to a frantic tempo. This really does look to be a great opportunity for her to break through.

Circuit Bets

Belfast Bella (Kembla Race 8, No.7)

Belfast Bella is an ex-French galloper now with Matthew Dale. Both her runs in Australia have been excellent, and the most recent was an emphatic four length win at Wagga to break her maiden. This is naturally a step up in grade but she looks to be a mare of some promise and The Wolf expects her to go on with it here.

Recommended Price: $2.50

Scensay (Sale Race 6, No.3)

Scensay hasn’t got the greatest winning strike rate of all time but he is highly consistent and strikes a very winnable race. Last time at this track and distance he chased home King Way with a good margin to third place. Before that, he was an impressive winner at Moe. This is not a strong race and he gets his chance.,

Recommended Price: $3.50

Champagne Party (Dalby Race 5, No.4)

Champagne Party, a five year old mare took plenty of time to get to the track but showed with her good last start effort, a close up second on her home track at Toowoomba, that her owners should be rewarded for their patience. Expect Nozi Tomizawa to go forward on her and against a very ordinary field they shouldn’t catch her.

Recommended Price: $2.00

Bolter

Ever So Natural (Grafton Race 6, No.1)

Ever So Natural has been racing in great form of late, winning in town and finishing second subsequent to that, before running midfield in Saturday class. This race is much easier and the almost two month freshen, during which he has trialed, should be ideal. He is way over the odds at $21/$5.25 in early markets.

Recommended Price: $11 SCRATCHED
