Wolf’s Sunday Racing Guide – Sunday, 22 April

The Wolf his cast his eye over the fields for Sunday and has singled out a few best bets at Ballarat & Goulburn!

Wolf’s Best

Semari (Ballarat Race 5, No. 4)

Semari was far too good over this trip two starts ago at Pakenham and if she runs that race here she will be winning. She followed that win up with a midfield finish in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes at Rosehill. She drops severely back in grade and with Dwayne Dunn aboard should be returning to the winner’s stall.

Circuit Bets

Gimme Strength (Ballarat Race 6, No. 7)

Gimme Strength was a dominant winner at Stawell last start and if he repeats that performance here he’ll take catching. He sat just behind the speed that day before letting down in style to win by over two and a half lengths. He’s drawn well and with Jamie Mott aboard should be winning.

Recommended Price: WIN

Brave Tango (Ballarat Race 8, No. 3)

Brave Tango drops sharply in grade for this and off the two month freshen should be ready to win. First up in January this year he managed to place behind Nature Strip, which is a very good form reference for this. He’s the class runner of the field and The Wolf is expecting him to win.

Ikara Miss (Goulburn Race 2, No. 2)

Ikara Miss was narrowly beaten on debut at Gosford and should be much improved second up stepping out to 1300m. Christian Reith makes the trip down for trainer John O’Shea; indicating to The Wolf that this galloper is ready to win.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $2.65

Swiss (Goulburn Race 7, No. 3)

Swiss made a late dive last start at Scone but just missed by a nose. She steps up to 1400m which is a ideal and with Hyeronimus aboard should get every chance to win. He’s won on her before which is a positive and with luck she will be winning.

Recommended Price: $4.40
