I Did It Again has won over this course and distance previously in his career and The Wolf is expecting him to repeat that win here. Last start he finished a length behind Cliff’s Edge over this course and distance and if he’s returned to that level here he’ll take beating. Damien Oliver remains on board which adds confidence and with a positive ride on the speed he should be able to go home the winner.
Recommended Price: $5.00
Pelethronius finished off well for fourth last start behind Cellarman and looks well placed to improve off that performance here. He’s 2/2 when running third up an The Wolf is confident he’ll be able to make it 3/3 here. Remaining at 1500m suits and with only 53kg on his back he’ll get every chance in the run. He drops 6kg off last start and from barrier 1 The Wolf is expecting him to receive a charmed run throughout the race before they turn for home.
Recommended Price: $7.50/$2.35
Estijaab won well for The Wolf on debut by over four lengths and from barrier 1 he is expecting her to do the exact same once again. She stamped herself as a genuine contender for the Golden Slipper that day The Wolf expects her to take home the Silver Slipper en route to her Group 1 grand final. She’s drawn well in barrier 1 where she should be able to find the lead and if she accelerates away as she did at the 200m mark last start she’ll be able to put this field away.
Recommended Price: $2.50
Foxplay nearly knocked off Winx last start and if she runs up to that performance here she’ll be winning. She settled on the speed that day and after receiving a rails run hit the lead only to be nabbed on the line by Winx. Her trials haven’t been overly impressive heading into her first up assignment, however this isn’t a worry to The Wolf as she did the exact same last prep.
Recommended Price: $4.80
Group 1 Caulfield Guineas placegetter who returned to racing in style last start, winning by nearly three lengths in the Group 3 Eskimo Prince Stakes. He was utterly dominant last start when beating home a class field and with that run under his belt he looks hard to beat once again. He’s drawn well in barrier 9 where Glyn will look should look to settle him midfield before letting down in the straight to give chase. He’ll be hard to beat.
Recommended Price: $2.30
Lady Horseowner has won both of her career starts and each time she has given the indication that a step up to 1200m for her grand final would suit. She took a split late between runners last start to win ahead of Crossing The Abbey & Oohood. Nikita Beriman remains aboard which only enhances The Wolf’s confidence; as she has won on her at her only two starts and after connections agreed to pay a late nomination fee of $55,000 it is clear to him that the stable have a strong opinion of her. She’s drawn nicely in barrier 12 where she can settle midfield with cover before peeling out to give chase in the straight.
Recommended Price: $19.00/$5.50
My Favorite finished off well for fourth behind Fickle Folly last start at Warwick Farm and if he’s taken improvement off that run for this he’ll take beating. Last prep at Kembla Grange he placed behind Meursault before winning the Bert Lillye Memorial Handicap at Kembla Grange ahead of Coolring and Rose Of Man; the latter of whom has since won a strong form race at Randwick. He’ll be better for the run and with Blake Shinn sticking aboard The Wolf is confident that he is ready to win.
Recommended Price: $10.00/$3.25
