Wolf’s Racing Guide – Saturday 21 October

Wolf’s Best

Diddums (Randwick Race 7, No. 6)

Flying leader who made every post a winner last start at Rosehill, holding off the fast finishing In Times Of War.

She’s drawn barrier 4 for her assignment here and with James Innes Jnr remaining aboard, she should be finding a very soft lead.

The other main chances in Dixie Blossoms and Daysee Doom both drop back from 1600m, and The Wolf suspects this race is being used as a lead up trial into the Group 1 Myer Classic.

Recommended Bet: Diddums to WIN at $4.00.

Circuit Bets

Kaonic (Randwick Race 2, No. 6)

Speedy colt from the Chris Waller Yard who had huge wraps on him after his last start win at Canterbury.

He chased home a smart leader that day and looked to have plenty up his sleeve.

The Wolf is confident that if he’s taken any improvement off his last start win, that he’ll be very hard to beat in this.

Recommended Bet: Kaonic to WIN at $5.00.

Confidence Level:

Lord Sundowner (Caulfield Race 2, No. 8)

Commanding 4.5 length winner last start who can make every post a winner here.

He was dominant that day and didn’t look back in the run against a reasonably strong field at Echuca.

Expect he’ll go to the lead here and play catch me if you can from there.

Recommended Bet: Lord Sundowner to WIN at $6.00.

Confidence Level:

Goodfella (Randwick Race 6, No. 3)

Goodfella scored a very tough win on the speed last start and The Wolf is confident that lightning can strike twice here.

He beat a class field over 1400m that day and the drop back to 1200m should suit him even more so.

Earlier this year he placed fourth behind Houtzen in the Gold Coast Magic Millions, a form line that reads very well for this task.

Expect from barrier 3 for Jason Collett to settle him straight on the speed and from there, take plenty of beating.

Recommended Bet: Goodfella to WIN at $5.00.

Confidence Level:

Super Too (Caulfield Race 7, No. 9)

A winner of her last two when leading from the front, The Wolf is confident she can score the hat-rick of wins here.

She’s drawn well in barrier 3 and with Winona Costin aboard, looks mighty hard to chase down.

Winona’s ridden her before at Flemington which adds confidence, where she finished a very narrow fourth placing in the Listed Cap D’Antibes Stakes.

Expect she’ll find the lead here and take plenty of catching.

Recommended Bet: Super Too to WIN at $4.60.

Confidence Level:

Noble Joey (Randwick Race 9, No. 5)

Speedy gelding from the Robert & Luke Price Yard who has won twice from four when first up.

Last prep he placed behind subsequent Everest Slot Holder; Deploy, twice in a row.

This is an outstanding form reference for a race like this and The Wolf is confident that if he brings his best, he’ll take beating.

Recommended Bet: Noble Joey to WIN at $8.00.
