Wolf’s Racing Guide – Saturday 14 October

Wolf’s Best

In Her Time (Randwick Race 7, No. 12)

Multiple Group 1 placegetter who was awfully unlucky to not have received a slot in The Everest.

Last start she beat home four current Everest slot holders in the Group 2 Premiere Stakes over 1200m, which is a more than good enough form reference to suggest she will be winning here.

Expect Brown to settle her on the speed and from there, take plenty of running down.

Recommended Bet: In Her Time to WIN at $3.40.

Suncraze (Randwick Race 4, No. 11)

Speedy gelding from the Melanie O’gorman stable who ended a run of six second placings two starts ago with a win at Randwick.

Last start he beat home Don’t Give A Damn, who has since come out and franked the form with a six-length demolition job at Rosehill.

He’s clearly the best horse in the race here and The Wolf is confident he’ll get the job done here.

Recommended Bet: Suncraze to WIN at $3.40.

Confidence Level:

Big Duke (Randwick Race 6, No. 2)

Last start Metropolitan placegetter who looks very hard to beat with the step up in distance to 2600m.

He closed very well that day behind Foundry to finish half a length off him and against what appears to be a very similar field here, he’s the clear top pick.

Expect for Avdulla to settle him midfield and with clear running in the straight, prove very tough to beat.

Recommended Bet: Big Duke to WIN at $2.80.
Confidence Level:

Latin Boy (Randwick Race 10, No. 3)

Unbeaten in his last four starts this Richard Freedman trained gelding looks well placed to make it five on the trot.

He’s beaten some class horses in his last few starts, including To Excess who came out on Wednesday to win at Warwick Farm.

He’s impossible to fault and The Wolf suspects he’ll continue building his picket fence with a win here.

Recommended Bet: Latin Boy to WIN at $7.00.

Confidence Level:

Run Gypsy Run (Caulfield Race 3, No. 11)

Unbeaten first up; this mare from the Mick Price stable looks very well placed to maintain that record here with a win.

This is arguably the hardest field she has ever resumed against, however she clearly runs well first up and the short three month break will have done her a world of good.

She’s a winner over this track and distance and The Wolf is prepared to have something on her each way at $17/$4.25.

Recommended Bet: Run Gypsy Run EACH WAY at $17.00/$4.25.

Confidence Level:

Kaspersky (Caulfield Race 9, No. 2)

Jane Chapple-Hyam has sent this mare out from the UK for this and she looks over the odds to The Wolf.

She has been running well in some of England’s good mile races and is drawn to get an ideal run.

You don’t win 12 of 25 lifetime starts by accident. She is well worth an each way bet at odds.

Recommended Bet: Kaspersky EACH WAY at $23/$6.
