Wolf’s Racing Guide – Saturday, 14 April

We head to Randwick & Caulfield this week. The Wolf’s best bet was a dominant winner at Sandown last start and he is expecting a similar performance from him at Caulfield…

Wolf’s Best

William Thomas (Caulfield Race 7, No. 6)

William Thomas is a very talented galloper from the John Price stable who won with authority at Sandown last start. He was dominant that day when winning by over a length and The Wolf is confident of a repeat of that performance here. He’s drawn well and The Wolf is very keen to be betting on him to win here. He has a stack of upside and should be winning this on his way to bigger and better things.

Circuit Bets

Cristal Eyes (Randwick Race 1, No. 8)

Cristal Eyes has shown plenty of ability across her short three start-career and The Wolf is confident of her scoring her biggest win to date here. Two starts ago she placed in the G3 Breeders Stakes behind Khulaasa & Krone, which is a very good form reference for this. She followed this up with a dominant win over 1400m at Pakenham to finally break her maiden. The Wolf is confident that a step up to the mile here will spark even more improvement and with Damien Oliver aboard she should prove very tough to beat. Expect her to settle on the speed before peeling out to give chase.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $8.00

Sister Sledge (Randwick Race 3, No. 10)

Sister Sledge impressed on debut when placing behind Estijaab and The Wolf is keen to follow her here. She flew out to settle just behind Estijaab that day and managed to stick on well for third behind her. This is an outstanding form reference as Estijaab has since won the Golden Slipper. She’ll be much improved at her second start and The Wolf is keen to be on her here.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $9.00

Just Dreaming (Randwick Race 4, No. 1)

Just Dreaming finished a length behind Daysee Doom in the G1 Coolmore Classic last start and if she runs up to that performance here she’ll take beating. She’s drawn wide which appears to be a concern, but she has more than enough early speed to cross from out wide which is exactly what The Wolf is expecting her to do. Hugh Bowman on indicates to The Wolf that she is the top pick from the Kris Lees stable and if she brings her best he expects her she’ll be winning.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $3.60

Handsome Thief (Caulfield Race 8, No. 2)

Handsome Thief won well over this course and distance last start and The Wolf is expecting him to do exactly the same again here. He stays in the same grade which is a positive and from barrier 1 he maps to get the dream run through the race. If he repeats his last start win he’ll put this field away with ease.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $2.15

Bolter

White Moss (Randwick Race 10, No. 8)

White Moss is undefeated over this course and distance and The Wolf is expecting her to keep this record in tact with a win. She’s won an astonishing five from nine races and if she can find her best upon resuming she’ll go very close. She’s drawn well in barrier 4 and with Michael Dee aboard she should get every chance to win.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $18/$5.25
