Wolf’s Racing Guide – Saturday, 10 February

We head to Caulfield and Randwick for metro racing this Saturday. The Wolf has made a Group 1 winning filly his best of the day and says she will improve her first up record to a perfect 3-0. As always he gives us his expert analysis including quaddie numbers and a bolter at a big price.

Wolf’s Best

Shoals (Caulfield Race 5, No. 1)

Shoals won the Group 1 Myer Classic last prep and if she has returned at a similar level to that she’ll take beating here. The 1200m first up poses no threat as she was able to win the Group 2 Atlantic Jewel Stakes when resuming last prep. Her form is simply outstanding and if she has improved off her last prep she’ll put this field away with ease.

Circuit Bets

Plot The Course (Caulfield Race 1, No. 4)

Plot The Course is nearing a win and The Wolf is confident that it will come here. He meets Morton’s Fork 6kg better off at the weights here and stepping up in distance should ensure that Plot The Course gets his best chance to record a win here. He’s fourth up for this assignment and having had three previous runs prior to this The Wolf is confident that he’ll have the fitness grounding from those runs to win.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $3.80

She Will Reign (Warwick Farm Race 3, No. 3)

She Will Reign won the Golden Slipper in 2017 and if she runs up to that form here she’ll take beating. Last prep she won the Group 1 Moir Stakes when first up and if she runs up to that performance she is the clear top pick. She beat home Viddora that day who has since franked the form by heading to Perth and winning the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes. She has the best form heading into this and The Wolf is keen to be on her.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $1.50

Super Cash (Caulfield Race 6, No. 2)

Super Cash won this race last year and The Wolf is very confident that she will be able to win it again. She beat home a very classy field in this race last prep which included I Am A Star, Chautauqua and Hellbent; who managed to frank the form by placing in the Group 1 William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley. Her first up stats read for 5: 4-0-1 which is outstanding, and if she runs up to those stats here she’ll be right in the finish. Expect Craig Williams to settle her just behind the leaders where she can get the gun run throughout and give chase upon turning for home.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $5.00

Artlee (Warwick Farm Race 9, No. 1)

Artlee has found a new lease on life since joining the Kris Lees stable and if he finds his best form he’ll take running down here. He’s won two trials in the lead up to this indicating to The Wolf that he is ready to go first up. His best runs have seen him finish third in the Group 2 Victory Stakes behind Fell Swoop and if he runs up to that he’ll take beating. His prior form is far superior to that of his opponents and The Wolf is keen to be on him.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $6.00

Prussian Vixen (Caulfield Race 9, No. 3)

Prussian Vixen’s form is much better than her last four runs suggest and if she can find her form from two prep’s ago she’ll take running down. Admittedly her last prep was very poor which is a concern to The Wolf, but on her best form she’s right in this and her win two preps ago ahead of Silent Sedition back this up. She won this race last year and at $41/$9.00 The Wolf is keen to be on her at an each way basis.

Recommended Price: $41/$9.00
