Wolf’s Racing Guide – Monday, 14 May

The Wolf his cast his eye over the fields for Monday and has singled out a few bets at Hamilton and Taree.

Wolf’s Best

Splashette (Hamilton Race 8, No.12)

Splashette resumed with a strong win at Ballarat and chased steadily at Pakenham last start. She drops back in grade today and looks hard to beat in a field decimated by scratchings. Her win at Ballarat was on a soft 5, so she should have no problem with the heavy conditions.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $2.50

Circuit Bets

Haames (Taree Race 6, No.5)

Haames won at the track two starts back and wasn’t far away at Coffs Harbour last start. He hasn’t had a start on a heavy track, but has a win and minor placing on soft tracks. Gets the gun draw for Peter Graham and will be ready to pounce over the mile once again.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $4.60

Cordoned (Taree Race 1, No.1)

Cordoned recorded a good win at Canterbury before going for a spell. He’s been fine-tuned for this with two trials and if he runs up to his Canterbury effort, he should be too good for this field. The Kris Lees stable and commands plenty of respect.
Confidence Level:

Recommended Price: $3.40

Bolter

Aedesia (Hamilton Race 4, No.7)

Aedesia is not the worst one going around at Hamilton today and could be the knockout hope in this field. She has three placings from four starts on a heavy track and has been running on in her past three starts. The claim for Georgina Cartwright will only assist.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $12/$3.20
