Wolf’s Racing Guide – Happy Valley, 7 February

Wolf’s Best

Rickfield (Happy Valley Race 3, No. 7)

Rickfield has won twice over 1800m at Happy Valley and The Wolf is expecting he’ll score his third win here.

He flew home last start over 2200m and to finish third, and off that run looks ready to win here.

He’ll be fit enough dropping back in distance from 2200m and with Poon taking 3kg off his back he gets in very well at the weights.

Recommended Bet: Rickfield to WIN.

Premium Champion (Happy Valley Race 2, No. 2)

Premium Champion has already won once over 2200m this season and The Wolf is expecting lightning to strike twice here.

He’s been dropped back to 2000m his last two starts where he has run well, however has been screaming out for a return to 2200m; which he gets here.

Apprentice Dylan Mo takes 3kg off his back with the claim getting Premium Champion very well in at the weights.

Recommended Bet: Premium Champion to WIN.

The Show (Happy Valley Race 5, No. 12)

The Show has placed in his last two starts and with Moreira taking the reins here he looks the one to beat.

He’s been narrowly beaten in his last two starts where he is done everything right, but win.

The lightweight and jockey change ensure he gets another excellent to win and The Wolf is confident that it will come here.

Recommended Bet: The Show to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Clear Choice (Happy Valley Race 6, No. 8)

Clear Choice has only had five runs across his short career but with each start he is nearing his maiden victory and The Wolf expects it will come here.

His five starts in Hong Kong have all been over 1200m where he has always given the indication that 1650m will suit.

He’s drawn well in barrier 3 and The Wolf is confident he’ll get the job done here.

Recommended Bet: Clear Choice to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Spring Win (Happy Valley Race 7, No. 12)

Spring Win has won his last two starts and The Wolf is expecting he’ll bring up the hat-rick here.

He steps up in Class from Class 4 to 3, but his wins have been super impressive and with the lightweight and inside barrier he can go on with things here.

Expect Badel to settle him just the speed runners before peeling out in the straight to give chase.

Recommended Bet: Spring Win to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Super Sprinter (Happy Valley Race 8, No. 7)

Super Sprinter was twice a winner over 1650m last season and The Wolf is expecting he will be able to build on that record here.

He’s first up from a lengthy spell which is a concern, but The Wolf has been impressed by his trials leading into this and suspects he’ll run a race first up.

His latest trial performance saw him finish third where he made very good headway late.

Recommended Bet: Super Sprinter to WIN.
