Wolf’s Racing Guide – Happy Valley, 27 December

Wolf’s Best

Bond Elegance (Happy Valley Race 5, No. 3)

Bond Elegance hasn’t won since last season but his last three runs suggest he is very close to a win.

His last three starts have produced three placings and if he brings another consistent performance here he’ll take beating.

Joao Moreira stays aboard having ridden him to his last two second placings and The Wolf is confident that it will be third time lucky for the son of Hard Spun.

Recommended Bet: Bond Elegance to WIN.

Pearl Furu (Sha Tin Race 1, No. 7)

Pearl Furu ran an improved race last time out and whilst it’s been a while between drinks he could take beating here.

Last start over 1650m he finished off nicely for second behind Glory Star and off that run gave every indication that stepping up to 1800m would be a welcome one.

His only career win in Hong Kong came over this course and distance and The Wolf is confident his second win will come here.

Recommended Bet: Pearl Furu to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Yourthewonforme (Happy Valley Race 3, No. 8)

Yourthewonforme is in career best form at present and looks well placed to make a winning return to Class 4 after stepping up from Class 5.

He’s won three from four this season since joining the Frankie Lor Stable and his form is awfully hard to go past.

Joao Moreira is 3/3 when riding him and once again he looks very hard to beat.

Recommended Bet: Yourthewonforme to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Speedy King (Happy Valley Race 4, No. 2)

Speedy King is 1/1 since beginning his career in Hong Kong and The Wolf is supremely confident he will remain undefeated.

Prior to his debut win he won a trial under Neil Callan and was the subject of very good betting, suggesting to The Wolf that he has plenty of admirers.

Last start he sat midfield before peeling out wide and taking control of the race in the concluding stages.

He’s risen six points in the ratings system, however this isn’t a worry as it wasn’t enough to push him up into Class 3.

Recommended Bet: Speedy King to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Money Boy (Happy Valley Race 6, No. 8)

Money Boy has placed in his last four starts and once again looks well placed to win.

Although he is yet to win this prep, he’s run very well at each outing and a repeat of any of these performances here suggest he’ll be going very close.

Moreira hops on which adds confidence and from barrier 9 should be looking to settle just behind the leaders.

Recommended Bet: Money Boy to WIN.
