Wolf’s Best

Aquatic (Canterbury Race 4, No. 4)

Aquatic has finished second in his last two starts and The Wolf is confident that it will be third time lucky for the son of Beneteau here.

He comes through some very strong form races where he has been beaten by Bye See, Sugar Bella and Nat King Cu; all of whom would put this field away with ease.

Stepping up to 1550m looks a positive for him and The Wolf is expecting he’ll go home the winner.

Recommended Bet: Aquatic to WIN.

Freeze Over (Moonee Valley Race 3, No. 3)

Freeze Over placed behind Booker last prep at Flemington and The Wolf is expecting this form line to stand up here.

Booker franked this form by winning the Group 2 Tranquil Star at Caulfield and prior to that placed behind Merchant Navy; who is the reigning Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes winner.

Expect he’ll go forward and lead here from the wide draw and from there should take running down.

Confidence Level:

Domed (Canterbury Race 5, No. 6)

Domed is 1/1 over this course and distance and The Wolf is expecting she’ll make it 2/2 with a win here.

She was very heavily backed last start suggesting to The Wolf that she has plenty of admirers, and he is keen to follow her here, especially with her getting out to the 1900m which she loves.

She holds a win over Vaucluse Bay which is a very good form reference for this and if she repeats that performance here she’ll take beating.

Confidence Level:

Straviera (Moonee Valley Race 5, No. 5)

Straviera is searching for her third straight win this prep and The Wolf is expecting her to get it.

She’s really putting it together this prep having won her last two and if she can find the front here she’ll give this field something to run down.

The form out of her last race is strong as Holy Blade who placed behind her has since come out and won by over two lengths at Sandown.

Recommended Bet: Straviera to WIN.

Confidence Level:

Rose Of Man (Canterbury Race 7, No. 1)

Rose Of Man has turned into a revelation this prep and The Wolf is expecting his rich vein of form to continue.

Two starts ago at Randwick he won by over a length when beating home Tip Top; who has since franked the form by winning once and placing in the other start.

He’s twice a winner this prep and The Wolf is expecting his third win will arrive here.

Recommended Bet: Rose Of Man to WIN.

Believing (Moonee Valley Race 6, No. 15)

Believing placed over this course and distance last start and The Wolf is confident that a repeat of that run should see him get across the line in first.

He settled at the rear of the field that day before flying home to narrowly miss by half a length.

He finds himself another race littered with pace and if he can take advantage of the hot tempo by sitting back he should be able to get the last crack at them.

He’s over the odds and if he does make the final field The Wolf expects he’ll be flying home late to put in a challenge.
