Wolf’s Out-Wide Racing Guide – Wednesday, 13 June

The Wolf goes out wide this Saturday for his best bets around the country. There is value to be had and he has found it. Check out his best bets from Toowoomba & Belmont..

Wolf’s Best

Phoenix Global (Toowoomba Race 1, No. 3)

Phoenix Global brings the all-important Tullio form to this and The Wolf is confident that it will prove far too strong against this field. He placed second on debut that day and off that run looks ready to win. He gets jockey Jeff Lloyd on again and from barrier 3 there should be no excuses. The rise in distance to 1300m suits and with a fortnight between runs he should be ready to fire.

Circuit Bets

Go Dixie (Toowoomba Race 3, No. 3)

Go Dixie has finished runner up in his last three and it appears to be only a matter of time before he finally breaks through. He’ll be fit off his last three runs and the drop back to a mile should suit. Expect he’ll jump straight to the lead and take running down from there.

Sophia’s Secret (Belmont Race 5, No. 6)

Sophia’s Secret is unbeaten when running second up and The Wolf is expecting this record to remain intact with a win here. She performed well first up at Belmont, placing third behind Stageman. This looks the right form reference to be winning here and the rise in distance to 1200m suits.

Nordic King (Belmont Race 8, No. 1)

Nordic King won on debut at Northam and has since improved in stronger grade in two outings at Belmont. He’s been very competitive without winning and if he continues to perform at his best for this he’ll go home the winner. The 3kg claim from Kirby looks ideal here and the inside draw should get ensure he gets every chance to score.

Bronzed Venom (Toowoomba Race 8, No. 3)

Bronzed Venom has won 2/3 when running third up and The Wolf is confident he’ll be able to build on this record here. He’s been building towards a win in each run and should be ready to peak here, stepping out over the mile. Expect he’ll settle somewhere midfield before peeling out to give chase in the straight.
