Wolf’s Out-Wide Racing Guide – Saturday, 28 April

The Wolf goes out wide this Saturday for his best bets around the country. There is value to be had and he has found it. Check out his best bets from Morphettville, Doomben & Ascot!

Wolf’s Best

Kings Of Leon (Doomben Race 2, No. 3)

Kings Of Leon went to another level last prep when winning at Randwick and if he brings that form here he’ll take beating. He’s had two trials in preparation for his first up which have looked and he has given the indication that he is ready to fire. Michael Cahill takes the reins and from the draw he looks the hardest to beat.

Circuit Bets

Zofonic Dancer (Doomben Race 9, No. 7)

Zofonic Dancer has won 1/1 when third up and The Wolf is supremely confident he’ll make it 2/2 with a win here. He finished off admirably last start at Toowoomba but his lack of race fitness showed in the late in the race. He’s fit, ready to win and with Matthew McGillivray sticking aboard he’ll prove hard to beat.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $9.50

Valour Road (Ascot Race 6, No. 1)

Valour Road won well last start at Ascot in the Group 2 Karrakatta Plate and if he replicates that run here he’ll prove tough to catch. He led throughout that day and should do the same again under Aaron Mitchell. The step up to 1400m poses no threat and with a soft run throughout he’ll prove tough to catch.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $2.65

Miss Identified (Morphettville Race 4, No. 3)

Miss Identified struggled last start dropping back to 1200m and The Wolf expects a return to 1400m should spark sharp improvement in the mare. Alfred Chan takes 3kg off her back which helps and if he can settle her somewhere midfield with cover she’ll have an excellent chance of winning.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $10/$3.25

Bolter

Racecourse Road (Doomben Race 5, No. 8)

Racecourse Road won well at his only start at the Sunshine Coast on debut and with improvement The Wolf suspects he can make his presence felt here. Ron Stewart rode him to his only victory that day and retains the ride here which is a positive. Chris Munce has elected to bring him to town at only his second start, indicating to The Wolf that he must have a very big opinion of this galloper and at $21/$5.25 he appeals on an each way basis.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $21/$5.25
