Wolf’s Out-Wide Racing Guide – Saturday, 14 April

The Wolf goes out wide this Saturday for his best bets around the country. There is value to be had and he has found it. Check out his best bets from Ascot, Sunshine Coast & Morphettville..

Wolf’s Best

Floyd (Ascot Race 4, No. 5)

Floyd defeated his stablemate Jingtang last start over 1000m and should be much improved for this stepping out over 1200m. He won well that day and against a field of this calibre should be winning again. The form around Floyd is strong and if he can get to a soft lead in this he’ll give them something to run down.

Circuit Bets

Blue Book (Sunshine Coast Race 2, No. 1)

Blue Book is undefeated in three outings and The Wolf is supremely confident he’ll be able to make it four from four with a win here. He’s drawn well in barrier 2 where Magorrian should look to jump straight to the lead and play catch me if you can from there. The claim helps and his latest trial win at Doomben suggests to The Wolf that he is ready to win.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $4.40

Cabierro (Sunshine Coast Race 5, No. 15)

Cabierro is an Anthony Freedman trained galloper who could make her presence known at her first start in QLD. She won her maiden well last prep before failing at Flemington in the G2 Wakeful Stakes behind Luvaluva. She gets the blinkers first time and The Wolf is confident that they will elect to lead on her. Early support for her suggests that she has admirers and The Wolf is one of them.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $8.00

Steel Of Madrid (Morphettville Race 8, No. 16)

Steel of Madrid ran an honest race behind Milwaukee at Flemington last start and The Wolf is confident he’ll enjoy the sharp drop in grade on offer here. Prior to his defeat at Flemington he managed to win three races in a row at Ballarat and Sale. He’s drawn well in barrier 9 and With Baster taking the reins he looks very hard to beat. Expect Baster to settle him in the lead and prove very tough to run down.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $6.00

Bolter

Cruze (Sunshine Coast Race 8, No. 8)

Cruze is 1/1 over this course and distance and dropping back to 1200m should ensure that he is able to make it 2/2 over this course and distance. Pengelly taking the reins is a positive as he has won on him before and The Wolf is confident of him striking first up. He’s trialled well leading into this and represents great each way value at the $12/$3.75.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $12/$3.75
