Wolf’s Out-Wide Racing Guide – Saturday, 10 March

The Wolf goes out wide this Saturday for his best bets around the country. There is value to be had and he has found it. Check out his best bets from Doomben, Morphettville & Ascot!

Wolf’s Best

Aquatic (Doomben Race 3, No. 7)

Aquatic has won his last two races in Sydney and looks well placed to win his first in QLD. He’s undefeated over the mile and with Jeff Lloyd aboard he should be able to keep this record in tact. He’s drawn well in barrier 3 and he looks very hard to beat here.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $2.35

Circuit Bets

Fortensky (Doomben Race 5, No. 1)

Fortensky has been ultra-consistent this prep and if he can continue to run well here he’ll take beating. He’s placed behind Faraway Town who since followed that win up with dominant win in the Group 3 Triscay Stakes. He’s consistent and with Robbie Fradd aboard he gets an excellent chance to remain undefeated at Doomben.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $2.35

Max Almighty (Ascot Race 3, No. 2)

Max Almighty should push forward and give them something to run down. He’s been beaten a lip in his last three starts and if he runs up to any of these performances for this he’ll take beating. He’s drawn well in barrier 7 and should get the run of the race. The form behind Oliver’s Travels is very strong and The Wolf is expecting it to stand up here.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $6.00

Battle Hero (Ascot Race 4, No. 1)

Battle Hero did a stack of work early to lead and managed to cling on gamely to win. He’ll do the same again here from barrier 3 and should have a much easier time of it in front. He has twice placed in Stakes grade this campaign and is drawn to win this.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $2.25

Hoboken (Ascot Race 8, No. 7)

Hoboken split Blackline and Belter last start at Ascot and if he runs up to that benchmark here he’ll take beating. Kate Witten has an excellent record aboard the Parmham trained gelding and he looks the one to beat. He’s drawn well in barrier 4 and should get all the favours throughout.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $5.50

Excalibur (Ellerslie Race 9, No. 12)

Excalibur won the St Leger Trial last start and looks a progressive galloper. He’s won four of his last five races and should he handle 3200m he will be a force to be reckoned with in this. Matthew Cameron stays on and The Wolf is expecting he’ll run a race at a price.
Confidence Level:
Recommended Price: $10.00
