The Wolf’s Jumps Guide: Casterton

Race 1 – BM120 Hurdle: No.5 Sheniyan
The Wolf is very keen to back former French important turned Kim Waugh stayer Sheniyan at his jumping debut. Since joining the Amy McDonald yard the son of Sadler’s Wells won well on the flat before a fair effort in town. Should have too much class for this lot. The wet going should suit.

Race 2 – Maiden Hurdle: No.10 Transcript
This recently acquired Eric Musgrove galloper is well worth watching at his second run for the stable. The 5yo had been with the Godolphin stables of John O’Shea, winning as recently as April. Switched stables over the winter and has had a flat run since, doing nothing after receiving support at odds. Steve Pateman goes on board. Huge show.

Race 3 – Steeplechase: No.3 Gold A Plenty
Gold A Plenty has found some good ones of late, placing behind Zataglio and then Sea King before falling in the Crisp. Was good enough on the flat last start when off the map. Has placed in 8 of 9 jumps so has obvious ability.

Best: Sheniyan
