Horse Racing Tips – Rosehill
24 February 2018
The Wolf’s racing tips for Rosehill. His best bet is
Estijaab (Rosehill Race 3, No. 7)
Race 1: 1. She Knows
SHE KNOWS is a promising filly who scored a win and two placings in three attempts at Highway Handicaps last campaign. Lightly raced and likely to have progressed since last seen. Has a win and a placing from two tries at the distance so can return with a win.
Race 2: 6. Pelethronius
PELETHRONIUS finished off well for fourth last start behind Cellarman and looks well placed to improve off that performance here. He’s 2/2 when running third up an The Wolf is confident he’ll be able to make it 3/3 here. Remaining at 1500m suits and with only 53kg on his back he’ll get every chance in the run. He drops 6kg off last start and from barrier 1 The Wolf is expecting him to receive a charmed run throughout the race before they turn for home.
Race 3: 7. Estijaab
ESTIJAAB was super impressive when leading and sprinting away to win her Randwick debut by 4L. Hasn't raced for a month but was kept up to the mark with a trial win. Promising and looks the hardest to beat.
Race 4: 4. Trekking
TREKKING raced well in stakes company during the spring where he placed up to Group 3 level. This is the easiest race he has contested for some time and his lone career win came at this course and distance when fresh. Expect him to go close in this grade off a close second in a recent trial.
Race 5: 2. Foxplay
FOXPLAY is a class mare who is a G1 winner and beat all but Winx when resuming in the spring. That form would take her close in this and she races well fresh. Should be fit enough to win here off two quiet trials.
Race 6: 1. Supply And Demand
SUPPLY AND DEMAND was slow away and settled further back than expected before working home well for second over a mile last start. Also pulled up lame there to add extra merit to the performance. Has won two of three starts at this course and may be able to dictate from the inside stall. May take some catching.
Race 7: 3. Kementari
The anticipated genuine tempo should play in favour of KEMENTARI. The colt was ultra impressive when he cruised past his rivals and sprinted away for a soft win by almost 3L first up in a G3. Races well second up and at this distance so expect him to have improved off that. Has always had the promise and looks set to deliver this campaign.
Race 8: 4. My Favorite
MY FAVORITE finished off well for fourth behind Fickle Folly last start at Warwick Farm and if he’s taken improvement off that run for this he’ll take beating. Last prep at Kembla Grange he placed behind Meursault before winning the Bert Lillye Memorial Handicap at Kembla Grange ahead of Coolring and Rose Of Man; the latter of whom has since won a strong form race at Randwick. He’ll be better for the run and with Blake Shinn sticking aboard The Wolf is confident that he is ready to win.
Race 9: 7. Bratislava
BRATISLAVA was brave when he fought hard to win at this course last start. That made it two wins from his four starts this campaign and he has been kept up to the mark with a quiet trial since. Putting together a good record at this distance range and can add to that here.
