Saturday Harness Racing Guide
Wolf’s Best Bet
Mildura Race 4, No 5 Our Jimmie
The Wolf thinks he’ll spear straight to the lead and he looks the winner. He has been impressive at his two starts in the country. Both times he ran fast last 400 metres and tonight he should simply be too good.
Mildura Race 2, No 1 Manonthemoon
He maps perfectly in this race and should be able to kick through and hold the lead. He raced from outside the leader his past four race starts and from the front he looks the winner tonight.
Albion Park Race 1, No.8 Jester Oh Jester
He maps perfectly in this race. He should park in behind the leader all the way. The Wolf says he just needs a gap at the top of the straight and he can run over the top of the front runners. The stable is in very good form at the moment.
Menangle Race 3, No.12 Match Point
He is a pacer that always needs luck in his races but tonight The Wolf is hoping he can slot into a nice position mid field and with the right cart into the race he can be effective. He has won two races at Menangle in 1.51 and is more than capable of winning this race.
Albion Park Race 3, No.10 Birdy Mach
He won back-to-back Saturday night races at this track back in August and his last two performances have been around the mark. He has drawn the backrow but that shouldn’t matter as there looks to be plenty of speed on the front line which will set the race up for the backmarkers. Worth an each-way bet.
Wolf’s Back Breaker
Menangle Race 5, No. 6 Katy Perry
This mare looks to have worked back into form her past two starts and is likely to go up short tonight. The Wolf notes there are several sit sprinters in this field who will be aiming to peel off her back in the straight and she is worth betting around at the short odds that are going to be on offer.

Feature Race Betting
GROUP 3 – $31,800 Paul Fitzpatrick Cup (Menangle)
Saloon Passage will be very hard to beat as he should find the early lead before handing up to one of the favourites and then outsprinting them. Iam Mr Brightside has won his past two starts in free for all grade and if he finds the front again will be hard to get past. Major Crocker is an interesting runner and can figure if he can bring his Victorian form. Freyberg, Millwood Liberty and Blazin N Cullen are all each-way hopes and should be in all exotic bets.
$22,260 Bohemia Crystal Pace Heat 2 (Menangle)
Egodan is The Wolf’s on top selection especially if he is driven like the best horse in the race. He is fresh off a good Victorian campaign which included a third placing in the four-year-old males Breeders Crown final. Take To The Sky should have the leaders back and will have every chance late. Better Than Max was an awesome winner last start over Ultimate Art but will need luck three back the pegs. Controversial, Iam Ready and Smokey Quartz are all more than capable of winning this race too.
