Saturday Harness Racing Guide
Wolf’s Best Bet
Albion Park Race 10, No.2 My Precious Fling
This trotter has drawn to take control of this race which he will appreciate given he has been racing outside the leader most recently. On the times he has been running whilst doing it tough, The Wolf he’ll take a power of beating.
Menangle Race 4, No 9 Helens Bonus
She ran third last start in super fast time against some quality mares. Tonight she will be coming from behind again but two starts back she showed how fast she is when she came from well back to win. Modern Dancer is a longshot in the race to consider for a place.
Kalgoorlie Race 1, No.2 The Trilogy
He is having his first start in the country for the big-spending Greg Bond stable and on exposed form in New Zealand he looks to have speed. From gate two he should find the lead and be winning this race for stable driver Ryan Warwick
Albion Park Race 6, No 1 Major Strike
Drawn to lead from barrier one but he will also have the option of taking a sit. His last win was from behind the leader but he has shown that he can race tough by his second placing four starts back and tonight The Wolf is confident he can figure.
Albion Park Race 2, No.9 Midnight Prowler
He was a good winner two starts back over similar opposition and then last start ran on very well after being held up at a vital stage. Tonight from his backrow draw he should get a good run through and will be charging home late at double digits.
Wolf’s Back Breaker
Albion Park Race 8, No 7 Purple Royale
This mare is flying but she has drawn wide and will be back last when they settle down. She is going to be very short and The Wolf is confident Last Flight In will be leading and she can run a 1.54 or better mile with a good last half which is going to make Purple Royale’s task hard tonight.

Feature Race Betting
GROUP 2 – $50,000 Empire Stallions Vicbred Platinum Home Grown Classic (3yo Colts & Geldings) Final (Melton)
Rocknroll Icon looks a superstar in the making and although he has only had the two race starts for two wins the speed he has shown makes The Wolf think he looks a Derby horse for this summer. Rocknroll Icon should get off the rail early and make a move around them to control the race. Jilliby Road Runner was good in his heat and if he can find the front he will give the favourite something to chase.
GROUP 2 – $50,000 Empire Stallions Vicbred Platinum Home Grown Classic (3yo Fillies) Final (Melton)
The draw makes this race very interesting but Shady Secret is still the one to beat. She won the fastest heat and did it tough and although she has the backrow draw she will take plenty of holding out. Gracie Angel has the benefit of gate one and if she can hold the lead she will make things interesting. She has shown she can do it tough and her heat win was impressive. Jo An Leonie has gate speed and should be handy to the pace. Shady Mcfly and Dolly Mach Lombo must be included in all exotics.
