Saturday Harness Racing Guide
Wolf’s Best Bet
Globe Derby Race 1, No.1 Solanum Dulcamara
Has drawn ideally in barrier one. He should be crossed early which will give him the perfect run behind the leader and he will have plenty of time to outsprint those in front of him. On sectionals he is the one to beat and we should get a price with a short-priced favourite engaged.
Albion Park Race 9, No.1 Royal Jacquard
This mare has had the backrow her last four starts. Tonight from the pole she will be looking to hold the lead and go for an all the way win. She has a 1.53.5 win at this track and a repeat of that will give her main danger Purple Royale something to chase.
Albion Park Race 3, No. 8 Sammys A Kriden
Should have a perfect run behind the leader Reign Of Fear and will have every chance on the sprint lane. He is in very good form having won two of his past five starts and The Wolf thinks he is much better when held up for a run which looks like the scenario tonight.
Albion Park Race 2, No.6 Nureyev
He has been running slick sectionals from back in the field in much larger fields. Tonight he has drawn wide but the smaller field really suits his style of racing. He was a brilliant winner four starts back in fast time at Redcliffe but tonight will be coming from behind.
Albion Park Race 1, No.9 Major Strike
He was good last start when getting caught wide the first 600 metres before restraining to last and then making another run from last to flash late for sixth place. Tonight he should get a good run through from the backrow and with luck he can win this race at double digits.
Wolf’s Back Breaker
Albion Park Race 6, No. 1 Swarovski
Although this is not a strong field Swarovski just doesn’t seem to be racing well this campaign and was very disappointing over the mile last start when he led and weakened in 1.55. Tonight over the middle distance he is drawn to lead again and is a horse The Wolf is predicting will once again get run down at short odds.

GROUP 3 – $30,000 City of Melton Plate Xxviii (Melton)
We get to see another clash between star pacers Hectorjayjay and Ohoka Punter. Hectorjayjay will be looking to rebound from his defeat last start but has drawn wide on the front row. They will look to press forward early and control the race from outside the leader. Ohoka Punter was a brilliant winner last start in the Blacks A Fake and will be in the mix late. Five Star Anvil should have a cosy run on the rails and is a knockout hope. Major Crocker and Jilliby Jagger will need luck from the backrow but they are each-way chances with luck.
GROUP 3 – $31,800 Wests Campbelltown Pace (Menangle)
A small but interesting field with the Victorian Chilli Palmer making an appearance. On the sectionals he has been running in Victoria he looks the one to beat. He should have a soft run in the running line throughout and will take plenty of holding out. Saloon Passage was a great run last start and with a charmed run he will be charging home again. He will be getting to the outside in the home straight. Mach Beauty looks the leader and will take plenty of catching if he gets a cheap first half but on last weeks run he needs to improve. Iam Mr Brightside and Exciteusinthecity also outside chances.
