Wolf’s Best Bet
Port Pirie Race 1, No. 10 Glenrae Hanover
The class horse in this field and although he has the backrow draw he should be too tough for this field. Last start he got too far back at Globe Derby in a group two final and was never a chance. His racing style is to be put into the race and that’s what they will be doing tonight and he should be to good.
Mildura Race 4, No.8 Myboy Nikola
He gets in very well tonight in this field being a C3 class pacer racing in a C0 to C4 class race. He has the backrow draw to compete with but on times he should be too smart for this lot. He hasn’t won since July last year but has been competitive against much better opposition recently and should enjoy tonight’s drop in class.
Bankstown Race 1, No. 9 Heza Swinger
He doesn’t win too often although he did win four starts but prior to that he had gone close to eight months without a win. Tonight he has the backrow draw but is meeting a very weak field. There doesn’t look to be a real strong leader in tonight’s field which should enable the back markers to get home strong and on times he looks the fastest horse in the field.
Bankstown Race 4, No. 1 Smoken Pump Action
He hasn’t raced since April 2016 but did look quite handy when last time in and is the winner on 10 of his 19 lifetime starts. Tonight he has the pole and looks the leader and from out in front should be very hard to beat. He does have the benefit of a recent trial where he finished second at this track and should only be improved.
Mildura Race 12, No. 11 Mach Denario
There looks to be good speed in this race which should ensure a good pace throughout which should enable the back markers to get into the race. Mach Denario has showed us on many occasions that he has a good sprint and can run good time and sectionals. Last start he did too much work outside the leader in good time at Globe Derby, today he should appreciate a much softer run.
Wolf’s Back Breaker
Bankstown Race 2, No. 2 Tact Rousey
She is in the strong Amanda Turnbull stable and looks the leader again tonight which should have her very short in the market. She is rising slightly in class and races some mares that can run good time. Although she is the one to beat you wouldn’t want to be taking the very short price that will be on offer.

LISTED CLASSIC- Allwood Stud Marathon Handicap Ss Pace (Gloucester Park)
The marathon looks a very even race at first look with the best horses all off the back marks. Motu Premier has been in dazzling form since arriving in the west winning four of his past five race starts. He is going to have to race tough again tonight but he looks a star in the making who can run very good times. The Bucket List is off the toughest mark but he should have plenty of time to work into the race and will be charging home late, he was a good second to Chicago Bull only two starts back. Rub Of The Green and Rycroft are the next best class horses but will need luck in running while Cut For An Ace and Waltzing With Cullen look place chances.
Mare & Foal Agistment Available At Allwood Stud Ms Pace (Gloucester Park)
A very intriguing race with the two favourites Mach Time and Americanbootscoota the ones that look hardest to beat. Mach Time should find the lead from barrier three and will be very hard to run down with Americanbootscoota likely to race outside him and keep the pace honest. Americanbootscoota has won five of his past six and is in the better form of the two runners. Fernleigh Rebel has the pole and if he is on Mach time’s back he looks a great place chance as does Vultan Tin from his terrible draw wide on the front row. Harry Hoo and Dana Duke will have soft trips and should both be working home strongly late.
