Friday Harness Racing Guide

Wolf’s Best Bet
Kilmore Harness Bet Race 5, No.1 Egodan
Egodan produced a slashing run when flashing home into third place in the Breeders Crown 4yo E&G final last Sunday. He has shown in Sydney at Menangle that he can lead, race tough or be saved for a surge late and tonight from the pole he will have options and is the one they have to beat.

Circuit Bets
Gloucester Park Race 4, No.2 Bounty Eyre
Is down in class on recent efforts and from gate two should be very hard to beat as he will have a perfect position in the run and be ready to pounce late in the piece. He hasn’t had much luck recently and has raced the likes of Ricimer, Amercian Boy and Our Jimmy Johnstone.

Albion Park Race 4, No. 2 Drifting Away
He has the perfect draw in barrier two and he should work straight to the lead, he likes the sprint trip and the last time he led he won in 1.58.3 at Redcliffe. Expect a huge performance from the Vicki Rasmussen-trained runner.

Gloucester Park Race 10, No.7 Sheer Rocknroll
She is a very smart three-year-old filly who has won her last three races in fine style running fast time although she has drawn wide on the front row The Wolf still expects her to salute.

Wolf’s Bolter
Albion Park Race 5, No.11 Passionate Fella
Has a terrible draw but he is going far too well to dismiss. He should be very generous odds today and is well worth an each-way bet. He has only won once in his past five starts but hasn’t been beaten by more the 8m in any of those races. Ultra consistent with a great turn of foot.

Wolf’s Back Breaker
Gloucester Park Race 3, No 1 Vertical Four
Vertical Four is going to go up short because of his pole draw and although The Wolf concedes he will be very hard to beat, the risk for reward is just not there and if the horse on his back Blinding Light gets out in time, he can run over the top of him.

Quaddie
Gloucester Park
9 / 1 5 7 8 9 12 / 1 9 12 / 1. $100 for 555%

Feature Race Betting
$23,000 Sully’s Painting New Season Pace Sky 1 (Gloucester Park)
After the barrier draw, That’s Rite should be very hard to beat although his numerical form doesn’t read that well on paper. He has hasn’t had a decent draw for a long time and is a very good front runner. Want $2.50+ though. Phoenix Warrior once again has a terrible draw and will likely have to race outside the leader but he is in terrific form. Our Blackbird will find this easier than recent runs and should get a good run. This Time Dylan is the best roughie for the exotics.

Wa Men Of Leaque Ms Pace (Gloucester Park)
Delightful Jade has drawn wide but looks the classiest horse in the race. Ima Tragedy has the backrow to compete with but he is going very well at the moment. Springsteen has the pole which should make him competitive and third-up from a spell should be fitter. A Boy Named Rosie, My Samantha Jane and Sonic Classic are all going well enough to cause a boil over and should be included in all exotics.
